At first when i tried th estudio tech i got nw25, that worked great for me in the summer because i get quite tan but it got to dark for me after the summer so i got the nw15 but that one is to light, i tried the nw20 at my mac department but that one was to pink for my skin but your skintone looks to be the same as mine so just wondering wich one u have :)

this foundation is neat but so heavy. I hardly ever break out, I usually have a smooth face and this foundation made me break out, plus it dried up my skin. I had to return it and get a refund from mac.

@MakeUpVideosAndMore I havent tried anything from Mac ever since. I could pretty much use any foundation or powder, but I dont know why mac really irritated my skin, Ive heard from other friends that it is really heavy, and mac does recommend a skin hydrator before. I like bare minerals, estee lauder, loreal I like their foundation "infallible" and their powder. I agree though that Mac Studio Tech Foundation does have good coverage, nothing like it.

i dont think the 109 brush would work good for this foundation since its creamy. the 109 is better for powder products, or a liquid foundation.. not really the creamy consistancy. it would be better to use the 190, like she did.

I bought some Studio Tech Foundation on the weekend as well as the Prep & Prime and 190 foundation brush. I've been trying to apply it as you do in this video, but it keeps going on kinda streaky, I was wondering if there's something I'm doing wrong, if I should return it or if I should buy that Fix+ stuff to make the foundation a little more liquid?

i don't think you're doing something wrong. You just need to buff it more using a 187 or if you don't have it, you can use a powder dense powder brush or a kabuki or a flat top brush.

Yeah I have a stippling brush from Sephora and it buffs it out okay. But is it normal for the foundation to go on streaky before you buff it out and set it with powder? I'm just worried that there's something wrong with the foundation :S Do you think the Fix+ would make it go on more smoothly?

how you apply the foundation is what makes it streaky...if you just dab the 190 onto your face and blend/buff it with your stippling brush you should be fine love... :)

i must say the studio fix powder is ideal for everyday use.... :) yeah the tech would be too heavy for everyday use and i doubt you could stand it lol. Neither had broken me out so far so hopefully it stays that way... :)

i like them for different reason and different purpose. the powder is something i'd use on a daily basis, it's not heavy at all...it does give me great coverage. as for the fluid, it's great for night outs and if you want a really close to perfect face canvass it's like the best thing out there! :)

I have found that using the 190 leaves streaks and is hard to blend. For the most part when using studio tech I use the 109 brush it works the best at buffering this particular foundation. Now I use the 190 to place the foundation. The 187 is best for liquid foundation.

thanks for the info...i use both 190 and 187...190 to apply it and 187 to buff it...that was suggested by my friend who works at MAC and actually it's working well for me...i would just use whatever brush i have or i'd improvise...i don't have 109..

the studio tech is actually creamier than the paint pot if not the same consistency...it's more blendable and you know what it has a powder finish...it does have good coverage and it's not streaky...well i guess it's because i buff it but i really like this foundation..

Yeah, I tried with a 187/188, but the bristles aren't firm enough to pick up any of the foundation so to get any kind of coverage at all, you'd be spending ages dabbing your brush in. 187works amazingly with liquids but I thing with creams you need a firmer brush... hope that helps. MAC has a wide range of shades for foundations and concealers...you can always go to a counter or a MAC store and get color matched... :)
