what was really bad about this was if you get too many lives, the first time you die is game over. We used to play this and had to count out how many times we got the 1up and then stop before we got too many lives.

Step 1: jump over the 1st turtle

Step 2: jump on the 2nd turtle WHEN he is at the edge of the stair so that his shell will go right side up ( not down)

Step 3: go on the step right below the turtle and face away it

Step 4: jump straight up, you only need to jump ONCE, if you did it correctly you will jump up n down continuously.

@ChrisSwagCrew You have to be pixel-perfect. If you manage to line the turtle up in EXACTLY the right way, though, you only need to jump once. After that, it'll jump for you. It took me about 12 tries to make this video, so don't expect it to be easy.

How come when you do the unlimited lives cheat it's really not unlimited lives? In other words if you stay on the board long enough to try and up your score really high on the same turtle glitch it'll eventually say game over. That's bullshit.

@1ASMA3 that's because the game is limited by the 8-bit console. In other words, the maximum number of lives is determined by what could be stored in the 8 bits designated for this specific purpose. Depending on the method of data storage (whether unsigned int or 2's complement) the maximum number of lives is either 2^8-1 or 2^7-1. When you go one over that number, the 8-bit number becomes 0 it's game over.

@MrNacko28 "emuparadise". Yeah, the "rm" is there(the "rom" is the game file), and the emulators are also there. I recommend Jnes or FCEUX emulators. They are not hard to find there. If you can't find it on that site, you must be inept.

@MrNacko28 Also, Amuparadise has full NES Rom collection packages there as well. They also have all the other classic systems as well, same concept, works the same way, although stuff like Playstation will be a little trickier. Enjoy! I got hooked on emulation really early in the scene back in 96.

You know you how in world 3-1 in Super Mario Brothers when you get to the stairs near the end of the level?

Well, there's a turtle over there, right? All you have to do is stomp on it and keep hitting your A button. If you do that, you can keep hopping and jumping and kicking that sucker and get pretty much infinite lives. Cool, right?

@Lief098 The easier trick to do this is just to line yourself up against the brick, jump straight up so when you fall you hit the Koopa Troopa and boom, it falls right into place. Its easier to time that way.

Head to World 2-3. After you leave the pipe to return above ground, run to the steps and jump on the third one up. THE EXACT MOMENT the Koopa touches the fifth step, jump straight up. Just don't try to go above 99 lives...
