  • Agreed! Everyone who knows B3 lore knows the story of the "CAT", Jimmy Smith, pasting a lifesize illustration of the footpedals in front of himself and doing all sorts of contrapuntal shit; dancing every-which-way on those footkeys! After 2 weeks he emerged the undisputed virtuoso of the footboard! I know this is true, 'cause Jimmy (in person!) told me so! lol.

  • I can actually agree that Barbara is one of the FEW Hammond artists that usues an active bass line. When people learn to play the pipe organ, the first thing we learn is a pedal technique. And most of the virtuosic Pipe organ music has very active pedal lines. But i ahve talked to Hammond organists that say their feer would fall off is they tried to apply a techinque. It is probably true that Barbara's knowledge of the Pipe organ carries over to her Hammond organ pedal technique

  • Dennerlein is foremost a Hammond player. She only started to experiment with full church organs later one, but she already had her pedal technique then.

  • She is ONE of the greatest Players !!! amazing

  • She's Awsome!!!

  • She is very versatile! I really enjoy her playing.
