Hey everyone!!! I'm new to YouTube and i'm doing videos on any rquests that you may have! :) from math questions to life avice...anything you want me to do (nothing bad) :) i'll make a video for it! :) make me a request! :D
Who's words are these? This was so inspiring. Had to watch it again. One of the few gems in all the garbage out there. Definitely advice that i will try to live by.
For those wondering the text is attributed to Kurt Vonnegut in a commencement address to MIT. But the actual source is a 1 June 1997 column in the Chicago Tribune by Mary Schmich as per snopes. Don't know who the narration is by, sorry.
If anyone needs good advice about life, love, and friendships follow @ro_ya on twitter! Mssg her personally && pour your heart out. She's there to help!
can we go back to before the millennium. I wish i could have lived in the 70s, people seemed to have so much more fun. Everyone is too consumed by technology its sad. The intelligence of mankind has increased...for some people...but there is no more creativity and FUN
I'm twelve and watched this over and over and this is honestly the best advice I have ever heard and I will listen to each part of it and follow it. If I end up with the life I expected I will share it with my kids. If not then I can share my mistakes with the world
@RandomAwesomePplTv the best advice i could give you, is just worry about being a kid man because you're gonna wish you were a kid again when you get older. and as long as you have two supportive parents while you're a kid, life won't get any easier than that.
@Jackytfforgothispass - Although I agree, Mr. Vonnegut was a genius, this is actually an essay titled "Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young" written by Mary Schmich.
i almost cried watching this. i never want to get old and will most definitely live by these morals. i do not want to die with regret. the part that gets me the most is to do something that scares you everyday. i always try and do something out of the ordinary, to make experiences and make memories. awesome video
@emmaaaha This was originally an essay titled "Adive, like youth, probably just wasted on the youth" and was written by Mary Schmich for her column in the Chicago Tribune. It was published in 1997. Baz Lurhman adapted it into this single in 1998.
For the people wondering, this is called "The Sunscreen Song" and is by a guy called Baz Lurhman. Truely is amazing and holds many pointers we could all do with listening to.
"Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it - advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal - wiping it off - painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than its worth."
