I think my '00 Maxima does a better 0-60. Go to 6200 rpm in a GT is relatively pointless because the lifters are starting to float at that point. You would be better to shift at 5000-5500rpm.

The answer to jack shit. theres no comparison between the Ford GT TT and the ZR1. There in completely different classes of car. were talking about 63lbs injectors, 1453whp, 1256wtq, and twin garrett GT4067R turbos. The car doesnt even run on pump gas. It needs atleast 116 octane. Its like comparing the shelby super snake to a twin turbo ultima gtr or a Gt1 class race car to a stock Ford Gt. I mean we were comparing cars within reason to the Zr1 corvette. Not stupid comparisons.
It doesnt even come out of the factory that way its independent builder who builds those cars. Were talking about factory production cars. The Zr1 corvette would beat it on the drag strip anyways because they cant even keep the car on the road in a straight line for more than a hundred feet. Ive seen videos its too fast. The zr1 would probably take it on the track to cause you wouldnt be able to go around turns in that thing you would spin once you hit the accelerator pedal meeting the apex.
im almost positive the ZR1 will take the Ford Gt in the 0-60 times too because that car wont respond at that amount of horsepower and torque faster than 3.3 secs 0-60. So even at 1400hp and twin turbos the corvette would still probably beat it.

Actually i looked it up again to make sure i was right Car and Driver and other sources say it will accelerate from 0-60 in 3.7secs and do a quarter mile in 11.2 seconds @ 131.2mph and Car and Driver also said it has a Top Speed of 205mph limited. Now 218mph could be reached i'm sure without a limiter. They had to tune down the ZR1 Corvette because it was hitting excess speeds of 220mph+ when it was in its concept stage.
The Zr1 corvette is pretty much the fastest production car built right now with maybe an exception of few. Its faster than the Ford GT unlike your previous comment saying it would beat the Zr1. The facts show the Ford GT has 88 less horsepower, weighs an extra 50lbs and the motor is .8 liters smaller than the Zr1 Corvette. Once again i like the Ford GT i think its cool but its not faster than the Zr1 corvette and it will never be.
The Ford GT is a 5.4L supercharged rated at 550 horses 0-60 is reported at3.7 seconds by Motortrend in the February 2010 insue i got today and am holding right now in the "spectacular supercars feature". The ZR1 is a 6.2L supercharged rated at 638 horses and same issue same feature reports 3.3 seconds to 60.
ford gt tt is an aftermarket car. it's not made by ford therefore not ford's fastest car. stock for stock the zr1 would win. period. and i'm a ford guy myself check my video.

For under $1000 you can get 1994-2004 Mustangs to handle like a champ. That money is spent on lowering the car, different springs, different shocks, anti-roll kit, and some other stuff. But to really make it a good handling car you'd need to get rid of the live rear end. But hey, it's a muscle car. The can only handle so good, and you need the live rear end for drag racing.

Actually all the mustang won was the handling. It only beat the camaro by .5g. The camaro beat the mustang in speed. The mustang did 0-60 at 4.9 seconds the maro did 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. The mustang did the quarter mile in 13.5 at 108 and the camaro did it in 13.0 at 111. Also the camaro beat it in the brake competition. So the only thing that ford beat GM on was handling but not by much. SO no the mustang is not faster than the camaro. bitch!

zr1 is not a 7.0 btw. its an ls9 not an ls7. anyway. i have about 3 motor trend mag's and 1 car and driver that say the ZO6 does it in 3.7 and 1/4 mile comes up in 11.7. now wouldnt you imagine the supercharged one to be faster. go search the c6 z06 and look up the 0-60. personally idk what it is for the zr1 but i know its got to be faster

the zr1 does it in 3.3 secs and the Ford Gt tt is NOT A PRODUCTION CAR its an aftermarket company that rebuilds those motors with turbos. Were talking about the fastest production cars. I can go get lingenfelter to beef up the Zr1 just like Ford Gt did and i bet you it would still beat the Ford Gt. Plus the Zr1 quarter mile times were better than the Ford Gt tt because they couldnt keep the car on the track at full throttle it kept lighting its tires up.

A stock 2005 Ford GT with the 5.4L and 550 horsepower does 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. Top speed of 218. It'd beat a ZR1.

the Zr1 corvette with 638hp turns 0-60 in 3.3 secs and does the quarter mile in 11.102 @ 135 mph it ways 3,352lbs while the ford gt weighs 3400 with over 88 less horsepower However the Ford Gt has taller gears in rear end making the Ford gt closer in ratings for top speed to the shorter rear end geared Corvette.

I went back and looked it up. Car and Driver says in the New Car Guide 2006: For the Ford GT:
0-60: 3.3
Quarter Mile: 11.2 seconds @131 mph.
Top speed is not limited to 205 mph. What would be the point in limiting it so high? Top speed of 218 was acquired at some track in Germany... I'm not sure who it was, you can look it up if you'd like.

Actually i looked it up again to make sure i was right Car and Driver and other sources say it will accelerate from 0-60 in 3.7secs and do a quarter mile in 11.2 seconds @ 131.2mph and Car and Driver also said it has a Top Speed of 205mph limited. Now 218mph could be reached i'm sure without a limiter. They had to tune down the ZR1 Corvette because it was hitting excess speeds of 220mph+ when it was in its concept stage.

The Zr1 corvette is pretty much the fastest production car built right now with maybe an exception of few. Its faster than the Ford GT unlike your previous comment saying it would beat the Zr1. The facts show the Ford GT has 88 less horsepower, weighs an extra 50lbs and the motor is .8 liters smaller than the Zr1 Corvette. Once again i like the Ford GT i think its cool but its not faster than the Zr1 corvette and it will never be.

The Ford GT is a 5.4L supercharged rated at 550 horses 0-60 is reported at3.7 seconds by Motortrend in the February 2010 insue i got today and am holding right now in the "spectacular supercars feature". The ZR1 is a 6.2L supercharged rated at 638 horses and same issue same feature reports 3.3 seconds to 60.

Thank you dude FORD SUCKS! Mustangs are all show no go honestly if my GT can keep up with a 40th anniversary V8 mustang than that is sad. I hate how i can count like ten mustangs from work to my house and its not very far of a drive. They are way to common and so many are sold because of how cheap they are. Fix Or Repair Daily!!!!!

For under $1000 you can get 1994-2004 Mustangs to handle like a champ. That money is spent on lowering the car, different springs, different shocks, anti-roll kit, and some other stuff. But to really make it a good handling car you'd need to get rid of the live rear end. But hey, it's a muscle car. The can only handle so good, and you need the live rear end for drag racing.

Actually all the mustang won was the handling. It only beat the camaro by .5g. The camaro beat the mustang in speed. The mustang did 0-60 at 4.9 seconds the maro did 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. The mustang did the quarter mile in 13.5 at 108 and the camaro did it in 13.0 at 111. Also the camaro beat it in the brake competition. So the only thing that ford beat GM on was handling but not by much. SO no the mustang is not faster than the camaro. bitch!
