will make quarters jump on the other end of the car lol yours jumped once then vibrated..Second "Know what your doing"!!!???Why,Why do I need to know what im doing?? Please tell me!!!! I do not see anything that is worth mentioning about your set up.I doubt your gains are even set or your getting the constant voltage you need or anything that could be respected in this SOund system culture we thrive in.Your a douche bag I could have appreciated the video.till you acted like a know it all(douche)
this guy is a douche bag!!! It would have been cool until i read the comment "Know what your doing" eat me fag you suck! first off My van with 2 pioneer TS-W301R 12's on a coustic 600se bridge at 2ohms (of course) with about 300 watts rms a piece(wait wait the amp specs say 2ohm 600 x 1 at 14.4v and im dropping down to 11.94v so 150 rms Maybe!?!?!) So what im getting at is my POS 12's that cost about a 1/4 of what your one 12 cost and my amp that is class A POS that 600watt rms at 14,4
its a good thing that this amp the guy was using is overrated. and im pretty sure he isnt getting best voltage either so that drops the watts down even more. and since the guy supposobly knows what he's doing his gains should be down in the vid so that takes even more off. sub is taking maybe 600 max, at full volume on everything. 500 rms maybe so he's doing it good
this sub is not taking 1000rms.... best wattage on forums people got into these for RMS was around 800rms of clean power and that made them heat up quickly. i assure you if i put this on 1k rms in my car it would blow after a song or two.
yes i did with a little help from my uncle and blue prints from my friend. it's custom built and designed to the type -R's specs. box is still in use today actually.
u have a funny looking dash mount what kinda car is that? looks like u cut a hole in the dash to the perfect size and slide it in i mean looks ok but different?
it's a 93 oldsmobile the dash is built on a upward slant i used a dash kit and alooooot of disassembling to get everything in there , atm i'm actually running alpined headunit, i sold that one.
hey i have 2 alpine type r's 4 ohm dvc and i bought a jbl 1200.1 amp i thought i could run them at 1 ohm but im not sure can somebody pleasae help me i dont want to blow my subs
lol it sure does thats the reason i got it i was like dam thats sexy lol and it it under rated it gives out 1546rms i think im not sure i forgot but its on the birth sheet
probably not that much i've heard of them being rated for 1000rms @ 1 ohm and putting out like 1460 or something haha there really powerful and slam something hardcore
"magnet " , it's my video , fuck off, ur comments have been removed. vita,, you need to use a voltage calculator and a test tone with amulti meter. it's not a perfect method but it will almost 90 percent of the time eliminate clipping.
after all that set ur low pass and your good, the voltage calculator you will have to find in ecoustic forums - car audio, lots of help there but i haven't set my gain in a while so i lost the link , hope this helps though.
i have nothing to prove u, cause i dont have my subbie displayed here do i? but if ur gonna make assumptions atleast make sure u can back em up w facts. not w some technical BS. all u have is a standard unit which half of u made anyways. how good can that be? lets face the facts now. plus its not like u driving a hot car anyways, so i dont blame ya. but dont make it sound like its better then its not! dont kid ur self!
1000rms subbie? i think not! if u really knew what a 1000rms means, u would not be using a home made box and a single 12inch sub! that subbie would not give out no more then 220rms, which is still very loud! if u really had 1000rms ur car would bounce off, or ur windows would shatter and u would be def!not hardly shake a penny on ur hood! so u can kid ur self and other idiots here, NOT ME!
1000 rms refers to the amps watts not the subs output. the subs rated at 500 rms, this does not mean the sub can not put out more or less but a subs audiable level is rated in decibles not rms. u might wanna go back to your sony xploads and not bother me with ur bs. i also state, it's on a 1000 rms prob seeing 800 or so, NOT that is putting out 1000rms.
bs? i think its u not me, well then u might wanna think of changing ur title 500rms, not that i still belive this is true. and for ur information, i use MTX sub in original box w MTX amplifier and true 300rms rated base, american made!so u go ahead insult ur own brand! w Pioneer head unit. plus the box u coppied is an MTX originated. good effort never the less, copy cat!
true watts? mtx hasn't made good amps in recent years, copied mtx? i would think not, it's a slot port design tuned to 37 hz based on the subs specs it's also 2.2 cubic feet. lets here how big that mtx box is? plus that mtx box is most likly aero ported a totally different design. also when the hell does a amp EVER get restricted by the woofers rms? if a amp is going to do 500 or 1000 rms it will do it no matter what sub u put on it. lastly i have a apline in my car atm.
i really suggest u go back to audio school before u brag about mtx being US made. what about us amps, zapco, sundown audio, audioque,RE,DD,audio pulse, tc sounds. ever hear of any of those? i bet not.
i never said MTX is the best. But i have no dought it will give it to ur home made brand box anyday. And i am not taking away anything u might have done w the box! but the fact remins, an amp is adjustable w what power outlay u want to suit the subbie, cause all ull get is a big fuzz or a blow out in ur sub if over power it. and i will bet anything that ur 2.2cubic 12 inch alpine is gonna come close to hitting 1000rms. plus,
whats a subbie? and yeah clearly you have no idea about continuous power ratings. its under rated, maybe in england all they have is 200rms but over here 1000rms is not much
how high did u set the gains? do u have any advice, because im plannin on running my type r 1242 at 2ohms on my hifonics bx1500d(1000@2 not as much as your 1606) thanx
acctually i'm taking in account my charging system not giving the amp full power leading to 1000 rms not 1100 but it's prob seeing 8 - 900 rms in actuality on abad day.
yeah thats your problem man. yeah hifonics says its 1600 rms at 1 ohm but its bull shit, they prolly hit 1600 rms for like a second. its quality over quantity man, i got a memphis audio pr1.1000 amp and its doing 1500 rms at 1 ohm and its only rated to do 1000 watt rms at 1 ohm and i can run it all day and it wont even get warm. i bought it for $440 brand new. almost double the price of a hifonics amp that says it can put out more power. IM JUST SAYIN PEOPLE ALWAYS GO FOR QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.

DynoHeat 2 years ago
@DynoHeat they can take 600rms each if you don't go gain crazy man =] i ran mine off my cousins hifonics BXI 1208D @1 ohm good amp great subs
