I'm not that big of a fan of horse racing. My barn has an 19 year old retired race horse and he is SO physically messed up because he used to be a race horse! poor thing.....
But it could be dangerous. If he horse WOULD have something with his leg, it would getting worse with every step. And you can stop a horse when it gets up, just don´t let his head follows the other horses. At least there was the problem the horse lost his balance, and that happens to horses every day. Not only race horses, my one does it sometimes too, but then again, she doesn´t try to run agian..

They have to do their job, they`re not payed to stop their horse and lose the race to help another horse or jockey. The money comes out of the owners pockets. If they do, theirs a large potential that the jockey`d be fired. Many would like to stop though.

it was the horse on the left hand side who caused the accident, and the jockey continued on whiping the horse after he clearly he had caused a rider and a horse to fall down and almost caused the horse on the rail to fall down also. When watching races like this u can clearly see the whip make hard contact on the horse. using a whip for 'tapping' for certain cues as in dressage is ok. but whipping is absolutely not, if u have to beat the horse to make it do what u want then the horse done 'love' it.

OMG! The jockey in red (three from right) caused this accident and should be charged! If i were that dumbarse jockey that caused that i wouldve at least stopped and seen if the other was alright instead of continuing as if nothing happened! He didnt even check what he caused! I hope he was seriously fined and suspended from racing. The accident couldve been prevented if that idiot wasnt so self centred.
They aren't allowed to stop running. He probably was penalized especially since he interfered with two other horses as well. He should have been more careful though, that could have caused serious injury.
From the looks of it, the jockey and horse that caused the accident didn't do it intentionally though. Look at the very beginning, the jockey goes to the left whip and while he's doing this his horse shies off to the right and if you look you can see the jockey trying to pull his horse in the opposite direction at the same time. It looks like it was more a thing of a horse who went out of control for a moment. Luckily no one was hurt though.
That's so sad seeing it run over, but then it just gets right back op and tries to win anyway...it just goes to show how much theses horses love to race and hate to lose.
These horses love there job. But they usually cant sandwich eachother like that. Cause the horses jockey that got ran into can challange an the other jockey will more that likley get in trouble. But if the horses didnt like there job then they wouldnt run.

So what about the whip. I use a whip on my barrel horses. Almost every horse sport people use a whip. An ya alot of horses get sent from the track to the slaughter. But you would be surprised how many owners keep there horses an that horse throws a kick ass baby.

When a horse gets up it doesn't mean they are fine,one of my bosses horses where in a show jumping comp and the horse hit the rails,fell down got up with the rider still on it galloped around the track wildly conpleted the course and it turned out that both it's front hoooves split in two and that she broke her pelvis.She was an excellent mare but she had to be put down sadly there wasn othing we could do even if we fixed her pelvis her feet where inreversable.

Look at the very beginning, the jockey goes to the left whip and while he's doing this his horse shies off to the right and if you look you can see the jockey trying to pull his horse in the opposite direction at the same time. It looks like it was more a thing of a horse who went out of control for a moment. Luckily no one was hurt though.

These horses love there job. But they usually cant sandwich eachother like that. Cause the horses jockey that got ran into can challange an the other jockey will more that likley get in trouble. But if the horses didnt like there job then they wouldnt run.

So what about the whip. I use a whip on my barrel horses. Almost every horse sport people use a whip. An ya alot of horses get sent from the track to the slaughter. But you would be surprised how many owners keep there horses an that horse throws a kick ass baby.

A whip should be used as an extension of the arm, not to flog a horse for speed. Not a lot of owners keep their horses, either--people outgrow them, sell them and find a new one. How many horses have you sold because you couldn't use them for barrels anymore?

We have kept 2, an yes they are brood mares, I gave one of my horses to my grandma to ride about 5 yrs ago, she gave it to my friend. They I am trying to sell one of mine right now. But alot of race horse owners keep the mares to try to get good babys out of them. So ya they do. You seem to act like you know everything.

I watch animal cops as often as possible and their are SO many retired racers and racers who couldnt run fast enough being abused, starved, abandoned because they were of no use. many spors are guilty of this. You cannot say they dont just cause you dont.

ive neer seen a Quarter horse sport rider use a whip. and i specialize in QH's. And what im saying goes for any person who uses whips and suck forces when they ride. if you have to beat the horse then obviously the horse doesnt enjoy it.

No im not a show girl, my sis and cousins are. i train the horses and i go to shows to watch them. Its diff from TB racing because qhs only run a for 12 to 30 seconds and they dont run on crowded or messy tracks for long distances.

they usually only need one little whack and then u dont have to touch them for the rest of it ..
most of the time u just swing it at them
same concept of closing ur leg on the horse
just a different command

It doesn't look cool at all. These horses have been trained to resist distraction like a fucking suger cube@directorwvp2. It's sad, everyda these jockys risk their lives for prue entertainment. My fathers a jocky, I should know. The riders are like a family, and we are sad whenever one of our own gets hurt. Out of every 100 jokcys 35 will die, and yet they don't get half the respect a football player does. A fotball guy breaks a leg, it's OMG. But a jocky can die, nothing. its bs.

I hope that jockey got suspended for life. Amazing that the gray got right back up after falling and getting run over. Also amazing that the one that ran him over didn't trip and crash too. Very fortunate that it wasn't worse.

When a horse gets up it doesn't mean they are fine,one of my bosses horses where in a show jumping comp and the horse hit the rails,fell down got up with the rider still on it galloped around the track wildly conpleted the course and it turned out that both it's front hoooves split in two and that she broke her pelvis.She was an excellent mare but she had to be put down sadly there wasn othing we could do even if we fixed her pelvis her feet where inreversable.

He should be suspended because that is utterly dangerous riding!Recently,a horse running in the Perth Cup died,DIED from a jockey cutting the horse off.Another 2 were seriously injured and cannot race again.Dangerous riding is a serious offence and this tape should be look over by officials and take action

I hope the jock on the 6 got fined or suspended or something for that. He came from the 4 path over to the rail and slammed into those 2 horses, causing one of them to fall... then he continued as if nothing happened. I hate seeing things like that.
