Scripture reveals God is the Spirit of Selfless Love and Satan is the spirit of selfishness. But it seems this man is saying that both evil and good are selfish and that we do not know true love. It might be so that we do not know "true" love but we do have the evident capability of personifying the Spirit of Love with selfless motivations, for want of no worldly reward. Religions, cults, guru's, and so on have used the word love to draw and control people. They have distorted the word for their own selfish needs. That is not love and that is what I am hearing in this video. He doesn't speak about real love, only what it's been used for by the religious.
i've always sensed hypocrisy in people when referring to love, when they declare that they love. That's why i've come to hate the word "love"...simply hearing it provokes a certain discomfort.

There is a profound truth in his teaching. People trained to show love or at least to act as if they love through the teachings in their religion, or morality, culture .... and they show gestures of love not love at all. This says true that their love is no Authentic. But when it comes to hate, since no one trained to show hate, it will be expressed only it is purely there in a person. So peoples hate is more authentic and truer than the love they tried to show.
I m not saying that he is wrong or right but the thing is he didn't give the exact answer of the exact question.... His explanation was profound, while I came to one myself, and that is this: they are one in that I don't think one truly dislikes what they hate, but rather distinguish between the two because when you think you love something you want to possess it, because it did something for you that you want to keep. If that changes, you only think you hate it to control the loss you experience. They are both helplessness. Where they meet is the truth.

As with all other energies; Hate gets ugly only when you try to block it. Don't fool yourself in this one. When you are angry BE ANGRY. To be in love is to be true. To be true is to be natural. @melissawells pretty much, we've been programmed and taught how to love by societal standards(i.e. marriage, dating, courtship.) But no one will teach you how to hate. So you find your own undiluted way to hate. It is unique to your spirit on how you hate. Which should be the goal for love. You should find a natural way to love. Not whats expected of you.
Seeing from a high enough point of view brings understanding and with it can one see. There is a profound truth in his teaching. People trained to show love or at least to act as if they love through the teachings in their religion, or morality, culture .... and they show gestures of love not love at all. This says true that their love is no Authentic. But when it comes to hate, since no one trained to show hate, it will be expressed only it is purely there in a person. So peoples hate is more authentic and truer than the love they tried to show.

One thing he said that Hate is Pure... and in question she asked him that he said before that Hate don't exist... when hate don't exist then how Hate is pure..... when something don't exist then how we can say that its pure or destroyed bcoz its don't exist......

@86chahal I think it's a euphemism for how they're one. His explanation was profound, while I came to one myself, and that is this: they are one in that I don't think one truly dislikes what they hate, but rather distinguish between the two because when you think you love something you want to possess it, because it did something for you that you want to keep. If that changes, you only think you hate it to control the loss you experience. They are both helplessness. Where they meet is the truth.

i can wholeheartedly agree to his point that hate and love are 2 sides of the same coin. they manifest each other differently, but are both released by the same feeling, of living in a world which gives you understanding and protection or on the other extreme gives you the feeling of being mistrusted and excluded.

@PerspectiveEngineer not all life is suffering because Buddha taught us how to reduce suffering to zero. it's possible because we create our own suffering trough ignorance, unawareness and a wrong perception of the self and of the world and of reality. remove that and you remove the suffering.

don't attach to hate or love. understand that hate can be love in the blink of an eye, and so can love. You got to learn to accept yourself for who you are. there is small monkey mind thinking and big mind. Don't fill your mind with crap. Everything is in change from moment to moment. Don't attach to ideas. learn to be flexible in your thinking. Nothing is 100% and don't believe everything you hear or see.

@mala108mala No. He said the continuous teaching of love is bad. Trying to teach someone to love everyone makes love lose its meaning. Just like if you use a curse word all the time, it loses its meaning and its power. The same is true with love. Teaching everyone to love everyone, just cheapens love. You then don't really love anything. It's not real love. Society did this bcuz it fears u. He was just saying that and that since you aren't taught to hate everyone, that hate is still real hate.

One must experience what love means to their own being through the infinite capacity of life experiences and not just through only philosophical pondering. In respect, one must learn what hate means to their own being and how imposing hate to others can affect oneself and the other - other being another person,animal, the earth, etc.

there are 2 kinds of love. the 1st one osho's talking about is the ego love, which is basically 'fear' and in that respect another colour of hate, i can see that it's 2 sides of 1 coin. but it has nothing to do with authentic love. so how can you say everything is one?

As with all other energies; Hate gets ugly only when you try to block it. Don't fool yourself in this one. When you are angry BE ANGRY. To be in love is to be true. To be true is to be natural. @melissawells pretty much, we've been programmed and taught how to love by societal standards(i.e. marriage, dating, courtship.) But no one will teach you how to hate. So you find your own undiluted way to hate. It is unique to your spirit on how you hate. Which should be the goal for love. You should find a natural way to love. Not whats expected of you.

I´ll explain it with a few words;
Seeing from a high enough point of view brings understanding and with it can one see. We then see differences of which then the word love and hate are words made up and not always understood as everyone does not share the same perception of reality as its perceived so differently if there if less knowledge of what we look at in the mirror as we know it to be.
