I just heard this on TV for the first TV yesterday. Im an interpol and Editors fan, and recognsied the sound but had never heard of Julian Plenti. Read about him on Wikipedia and found it was Paul Banks. Heard these clips on Youtube, and have bought the CD online this morning. Yay for the internerd.

I agree completely, but the sad fact is that no one pays for music anymore. Judging by the the fact it's Paul Banks and the quality of the recordings the label probably paid at least 30 to 40 grand to release the record. He will make that back plus a ton of money from touring anyways so dont feel too bad. He's dating a supermodel so you know he's got some cash! Regardless I sympathize with you and I think it's lame no one buys records anymore.
