thats right. Eric Clapton is a brand, as is Sting. Mark Knopfler chose to promote himself through the band Dire Straits but it was all him. ( although John Iisley was with him the entire run and they were a team) Knopfle

r is indeed a better guitar player and songwriter. Clapton had a few solid hits when he was younger, has the look and seems to be a nice guy. Knopfler and him are friends.

In my opinion they all were much better during their peaktime, when they were much younger and much more enthusiastic.

This show seems like just to be done to get a little memory back for their ego.
