You will definitely need a DOF adaptor to achieve this sort of thing, i found it a great little camera for testing this sort of stuff, but needed something with a better mic and mic inputs! My DOF adaptor cost me around $300 NZD to build, which would work out to around $150 USD. Start by going to Daniels GG-Holder website, sorry don't have the URL handy, but try google it and should come up. If you don't want to build your own I think that website sells them for about $500 USD

As described in the info the grid lines are caused by the focus screen that I used. I now how a Canon EG-A focus screen without grid lines
