@titicarcar thanks im thinking of getting an austrlian bass to go in with him but have not yet decided. Would archers live long with him or would he eat them in a couple of months lol
you could probably have some archers in there until he got to like 30cm or bigger, archers grow quite quickly like barrai just wouldent get any that were much smaller than him, the bigger the better. bass are quite aggressive and might nip the fins of your barra, thats why i suggested perch (yellowbelly, jade or silver). archers shoot water out of their mouth to catch their prey which is really cool to watch, if you put a cricket on a stick and dangle it over the water they will shoot it down.

@Swrighty747 great idea, try livefish.com.au for archer, i think they still have them and they are reasonably well priced.
