This was the only of the Renaissance era Disney films I went to see, and ironically I didn't like it much, as an extremely feminine girl (and woman!) I preferred Ariel and Belle (who although were not wimpy or wussy still were graceful and lovely and absolutely wonderful. :D But on the plus side Aladdin is kinda cute--just not as cute as Prince Eric or Prince Adam!
Gew up with this movie, i was only 11 years old when this came out and saw it 3 times in my city's theaters, i had a thing for Princess Jasmine as she blew me away and she was bonervision in that slavegirl look.
@Johnlindsey289 Bonervision. hahaha. Yeah, i kind of had a thing for Jasmine too. I saw this one about 3 times in theaters as well and it's still one of my favorite Disney movies. Jafar was such a cool villian, i thought and Robin Williams made this movie a laugh riot.
@TheAltair4 I watch almost everything in Bonervision. Anyway, I wish I remembered how many times I saw this in theaters, but surely more than once. Really loved it. I need to get the original soundtrack on CD since they quickly changed the words to one of the songs before the video release and on later soundtrack releases. I have the cassette of the original soundtrack though, but who wants cassettes, ha.
I remember when it first came out and I saw the demo in a video store. It seemed like the most awesome thing ever at the time. The magic carpet rising was incredibly cool by 1992 standards and I remember shouting 'they used computers for that!'. At that time, when computers were getting more and more mainstream in films and less as a gimmick like they were in the 80's, it was very impressive.
How ironic that this Aladdin ad was airing on M.T.V and not Nickelodeon which was and stillis the epitome of wholesomeness on cable

Narrator: What if you found a magic lamp?
Me: I wish I was back in 1994.
Genie: Wish granted.
Me: I wish I was 5 years old, but with the same memories and abilities I have now.
Genie: Granted!
...
Genie: Anything else?
Me: I'll get back to you on that.

Was Jafar suppose to be similar to Satan? Also Jasmine is wearing MC Hammer pants, and Kim Kardashian looks like Jasmine.
