I honestly don't think the greatest basketball player in history who won 6 rings would be the type of guy that would make excuses for himself, so why then do others insist on making excuses for him?
@objectivefreedom MJ didn't make any excuse for himself, he just simply came back strong with 72 wins and 4-0, and giving Magics the best excuse for their lose in the 1996 off series, which is " MJ is ready this year" LOL
For those who carry the water for MJ, they probably didn't know the Bulls had a 13-4 season record during the games MJ returned in, and he averaged 26 ppg. In the '95 playoffs, he averaged 31.5 ppg. Is that really "out of rhythm"? Furthermore, both the Rockets and Bulls had the same 47-35 season record that year, so what's the Bull's excuse? I honestly don't think the greatest basketball player in history who won 6 rings would be the kind of guy that would make excuses for himself, so why do ot
@objectivefreedom All the evidences and data u showing only shows the greatness of MJ(after 1 and half year away from a professional area), i doubt that ppl would believe in what u saying "geting good records=the good situation of a team to win a championship." Or the MVP of the year should win the titile of the year for sure? is this what u r trying to say? Rocket is a great team, however they couldn't prove themself after MJ came back. that is the truth.
@SuperButtersfly Well, I think Rockets had done enough proving before MJ's first retirement. Olajuwon's Rockets owned Bulls in the early 90s. Actually, throughout their careers, when counting the games when both Olajuwon and Jordan were on the court, then Rockets had a winning record against the Bulls.
"For those who would diminish those championships for coming during Michael Jordan's "retirement," consider that during the first "three-peat" from 1991-93, the Rockets posted a 5-1 record against the Bulls. And following a home loss in 1993, Jordan sat in the bowels of the old Chicago Stadium, shook his head and said, "It's a good thing those guys can't find their way to the Finals, because we don't have an answer for the big guy."
@scottwill19 this team wasn't that bad at all... they had Clyde Drexler, good role players ;ike Kenny Smith, Cassell and Horry and swept the Magic in the finals
I was glad to see Rudy win those titles. I'm not a Rockets fan, I'm a celtics fan. But after going through all the pain from the biggest cheap shot ever............It was good to see him win those titles. I remember Kareem and some of the other players talking about how brutal that shot was he took to the face.
@tonystarkironman316 No, it's a cliché. If Michael Jordan doesn't retire in 1994, the Rockets don't mean shit. I will remember Rudy T not for winning 2 finals without MJ playing for a vast majority of those seasons but rather getting his face caved in by Kermit Washington.
@yachtrockman If the burned out Michael doesn't retire in 1993, he has no passion for the game, plays like crap (like he did when he came back before Nick Anderson pissed him off). He probably continues to spend his weekends in Atlantic City, until he is found dead in an Atlantic City ditch.
@robat227 right. Way to leap from absurd assumption to absurd assumption. If you think Michael would ever have been "burned out" just listen to his hall of fame speech. He enjoyed killing his opponents more than he did winning. To say he was "burned out" after winning a third straight title is wishful thinking. You, my friend, are delusional. Rudy T cashed in on the fact that the GOAT was gone. You notice he didn't do shit after MJ came back, right? I wonder why.
@yachtrockman in the 1995 playoffs micheal jordan was badly outplayed by penny hardaway. thats the year rudy t. won his second championship. the rockets defeated the team that defeated micheal jordan arruuuaaaahh
@judgerofwars Again, Michael returns toward the end of the season. Of course he has to have time to get back into rhythm. The next year the bulls win 72 games. Rudy T disappears for the rest of his career.
LOL@yachtrockman ...Just take your MJ crush on outta here. MJ was not gone in the 95 playoffs. He choked like a"B" vs. Nick Anderson and Shaq.....who Hakeem swept in the same playoffs. And don't dare try use that "OH mj DIDN'T PLAY ALL YEAR" excuse.....because Isiah whupped his butt 3 years in a row when he played the full season.
None of his winning came at Hakeem's expense. Hakeem batted the stuffing outta him whenever they played, and he's a career loser vs. HOU. Chew on that!
@FuShengAlex Yeah, what happened to Isiah after Michael won his first title? Disappeared? What happened to Rudy T after Michael won his 4th title? Disappeared. You have to have time to readjust when you come back from being gone for nearly 2 seasons. Nick Anderson and Shaq did nothing to Michael the next FULL seasons he was back. My logic makes sense. You just hate MJ and love sports "feel good" cliches like all the other dumb sheep. I'll take the best ever. You take kermit Washington's "B".
Yacht no your logic does not make sense. What happened to MJ from 87-90? Didnt he play full seasons then by your lame logic . Where is his titles for those years? Oh he was rusty then too huh? You didn't even add that MJ had future HOFER Rodman join him in 96. He really helped when MJ got shut down by GP in the Finals. In fact he shot a lower % than he did in his 2nd 3peat years than he did in 95 when Shaq sent him home.
MJ could thank Hakeem for showing him how to beat Orlando.
@FuShengAlex Yeah, because MJ 87-90 was a LOT better than MJ winning championships. Face it, you just don't want to admit the best ever is greater than your sports feel good story that Michael and/or David Stern ALLOWED to happen. Keep your insignificant record book memories. I'll keep Kermit's punch that broke Rudy's face and MJ sealing his legacy as the Master of all. I, along with everyone else with an IQ over 70, would take Phil, Pippen and Jordan any day of the week. BALLIN'!
SMH@yachtrockman Man just be quiet....an 87-90 mj won MVPs DPOY, scoring titles just like he did during his title years. He statistically peaked BEFORE he won his first title. And yet still he was Isiahs whipping boy despite playing FULL seasons.
So no I don't think MJ allowed anything. Hakeem showed him how to beat the Magic so he wouldn't be changing jerseys again, lol. Notice how Hakeem's on none of those cheesy Come fly with me DVDs, given he was blocking MJ most of the time, lol.
Your talking shit about a team who has won the last 2 Championships and with out the best record in the league so I don't get why all you haters are underestimating the Lakers a team who has won 5 Championships in a little over 10 seasons and a player who only wants to win championships and nothing else and a coach who has won more championships than any other coach in NBA history.
If your Rocket fans you should respect the Lakers and you shouldn't desgrace what this video stands for
Wow I find it funny that in this video people are arguing about Lakers not winning 3 in a row because there not doing so good this season. Does anyone know why he said "Don't ever underestimate the Heart of a Champion"?
Because the Rockets won in 1994 and then in 1995 they weren't good they didn't even win 50 games and everyone was saying they weren't gonna win it again and look what happend.
Don't underestimate the Lakers, Kobe, and Phil Jackson thats just a disgrace you guys are pathetic
@prodiggy13 you wont get past spurs though hahahaha lololol with ginobli duncan parker jefferson and coach pop who is a way better coach then phil jackson
Oh and fyi faker fans my rockets already beat yall once this year and barely lost the first game of the season series in la and will win final game of series in la so up yalls
@module15 yeah your statement about the lakers is true but you also forgot that they won it in 2000,2001,2002,2009,2010. And they will repeat again in 2011
@WallDweller well, Yao did boost the NBA's popularity in China, while Kobe and the Lakers remains to be the most popular player/team in the world. However, in the end of the day the best team will still win over the popular team (Detroit over LA {2004}, Spurs over Cavs, and Boston over L.A {2008})
I sure with the Rockets can return to THOSE days. Good memories, though. I can still remember 1994 and 1995 when we were NBA champions (not "World" champions, like most American people call champions of domestic sporting leagues).

Fine, lets go to playoffs. The Rockets beat the teams with the 3 best records in the NBA en route to their first championship. No other team has ever done that. To completely discount them just because it's MJ is foolish. Take your store-bought opinion and go watch PTI you fucking parrot.
first of all i do watch pti its a nice show, 2nd of all who the fuck watches lacrosse lol!, 3rd of all are you saying that jordan couldnt of beaten the houston rockets if he never retired?,he was unstoppable in the playoffs, and regular season, they even won 72 games in the reg. season, and one of the reasons jordan retired because he thought there was no competition no one even stood a chance against him and the bulls.

Heart of a champion bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you know the answer to that you cannot come up with something like that before hand, not before the job is done. 1993/94, 94/95, greatest years of basketball for me.
@princeofdarknessxyz1 Rudy T was the coach of the Lakers back in 04-05 season. But he got sick again and retired for good. He said he won't return as coach again.

You fucking did anyway retard. I guess you don't consider your "time" valuable then if you wasted it typing that moronic reply. How about using that "time" by jumping off a bridge. That will solve everything!

you know the answer to that you cannot come up with something like that before hand, not before the job is done. 1993/94, 94/95, greatest years of basketball for me.

@princeofdarknessxyz1 Rudy T was the coach of the Lakers back in 04-05 season. But he got sick again and retired for good. He said he won't return as coach again.
