@marika19502011 Actually the word itself etymologically means "happy occasion," a more apt word is "vinchannya," which refer to placing wreaths, "vinky." on the couple's heads during the church ceremony.

Nope, "Vesillja" comes from "Veselo" - ie Joyful, merry ... The letters did come from ancient Greeks but not the words.
