By church traditionally we know that sin weakens the soul from acting in charity, keeping us from exercising all the Christian virtues and ultimately preventing us from being merciful as The Lord Jesus is merciful. I suggest following Church Tradition and the documents of the Catholic Church's Magisterium. It is better to know, love and serve God than to construct false ideas and preach them. This is equivalent to say that your great great great grandfather robbed a piece of bread and you are forced to pay for that centuries later. This is one of the saddest and most regretable teachings of the catholic church. Guilt... even because of what you've never commited... what a distortion of the true nature of the real God. But making mankind feel guilty provides manipulation, doesn't it?

You have not the authority to say whether or not humanity is weak nor strong. No one does. Judgement is for our Lord, so pass none yourself.
