  • COOL!

  • 8 people don't have a childhood.

  • I miss this classic Disney logo, I prefer this over that damn CGI Castle they have now.

  • Welcome to my childhood

  • It's also on "Aladdin"

  • Disney should bring that intro back

  • @resdsox1 It would be neat to see this on the Platinum/Diamond Edition DVDs and Blu-Ray releases, as well as in front of their more modern animated features like "Tangled," "The Princess and the Frog" or "Winnie the Pooh"

  • This logo looks good no matter what.

  • aww damn :( I remember that on most of my disney videos had this intro. I miss it.

  • Oh yeah. That's the stuff. ;D

  • The magic of disney in the old days, gotta love em

  • DISNEY MOVIES ON VHS <3

  • omg! watching this I automatically turned 5 again :'D

  • This only appeared on 2 Walt Disney Classics releases to have clean jingle play over the 1992 variant of the logo: "101 Dalmations" and "The Great Mouse Detective". "The Resucers" was the first tape to have electronically muffled jingle due to a video proccessing error.

  • The music is like for when something awesome happens.

  • yes... back when disney was cool. Now they suck and everything they've put out is terrible.

  • @Brandondorf9999alt Yes you do.

  • I miss the 90s disney

  • When I grew up, all our Disney movie VHS vids had this logo.

  • Yeah, but you could get suspended for other things, as well!

  • Oh, let them suspend you! You've been stealing videos long too many times, and that isn't OK!

  • No, I don't agree with you! Garbrielkat is right on the money.

  • @Brandondorf9999alt systemoperator will never agree with you!

  • @Brandondorf9999alt No, there isn't! Even systemoperator would disagree with you!

  • @Brandondorf9999alt There is no 1993 VHS of Bongo! It was released in 1989, not 1993!

  • @Brandondorf9999alt No, it wasn't! You just edited out the 1986 Walt Disney Home Video logo and replaced it with this logo!

  • @Brandondorf9999alt Nice try, but this logo was never used on any Mini Classics tapes!

  • @Brandondorf9999alt No, this was taken from 101 Dalmatians.

  • This variant showed up on Pinocchio 1993 Demo Tape

  • when i was little, i thought the D in Disney was a G. Who all agrees?

  • I prefer the clean music it's better than the distorted variant

  • this is taken from aladdin

  • @marbardan no

  • Woah memories!!!

  • Comment removed

  • the tune still scares the crap out me

  • WTF YOU TOO?!

I thought I was the only one.

  • yeah, it still does to this day. just looking at the screen caps gives me the chills. had to turn off the speakers just in case to type this

  • I love the music so much very nice and sweet! 5 stars

  • Aladdin had this right? or was that '88?

  • Yup, it sure did!

  • no 1992

  • @livinlarge18 it was still used in 1992 so what difference does it make?

  • Man! When I was little, I used to be scared by this logo! LOL!

  • And Now Our Feature Presentation

  • DAMN, this brings back a lot of memories.

  • This brings back memories! I have only 8 Disney Classics movies, but the ones I have with this logo are "Beauty & The Beast", "Fox & The Hound", "101 Dalmatians", "The Great Mouse Detective", "Aladdin", & "Pinocchio". I have the diamond logo on "Alice In Wonderland" & "Dumbo". I hope I'll be able to collect all of the Disney Classics movies from different places, even though I have some of them, but not with the logo on the side of the cover or in the movie! Thanks for posting this!

  • Kewl. :)

  • I have this on FANTASIA and Aladdin.

  • Fantasia uses 1989 varation

  • And "Aladdin" use the disorted variation.

  • It's probably the one from 1989 or 1988.

  • CLASSY CLASSY CLASSY!!!

  • God how CLASSY DISNEY use to be....Man i miss these days....God What class disney use to have....... O and by the way the black diamond version is my favorite logo...I have the BD sign that lights up....its so cool! thts how much i love this logo style...hehe

  • OK I Admeit it that was pritty cool

  • They should conti nue this series and replace the Platium Edition series.

  • Or they could show this logo on the Platinum Edition DVDs, like the upcoming "Sleeping Beauty" in October 2008.

  • I know how to make Walt Disney Classics DVD's

  • Did the 1993( I think ) release of "The Fox and the Hound" use the clean version or the distorted version? I forget.

  • It used the distorted variation. BTW, it's actually from 1994.

  • And it was the last VHS with this logo. Ever. Such a shame.

  • So... I don't see a diff from the 1989 to the 1992? (Though I see the diff on the 1988 one)

  • It's brighter and has no purple tint line over the diamond when the words turn gold.

  • It also fades out three seconds earlier than it's supposed to.

  • That, too!

  • No way! I can still see the purple tint!

  • Well, you're wrong. The line is silver.

  • Sorry!

  • It's OK.

  • he's right. you can only see it for a split second.

  • I know.

  • very nice ^_^

  • That's it?

  • The clean jingle was used from 1988-1992.

  • What I meant was: I don't own any movies with this logo.

  • Uhh... I wasn't actually talking to you.

  • I own this on nothing.

  • I have this on:

    101 Dalmatians

    The Great Mouse Detective

  • Only on my Great Mouse Detective VHS

  • The only Walt Disney Classics video I own is Beauty and the Beast, which might have this version.

  • Actually, "Beauty and the Beast" has the distorted version of this logo.

  • That's right it was released after The Rescuers

  • Of course.

  • systemoperator, i'm your friend and i'm going to Disneyland at March Break.LOL-p

  • That's cool!

  • Gen's videotape of The Lion King are the follows

    1.1992 FBI warnings

    2.Walt Disney World Promo

    3.Pocahontas trailer

    4.Coming to Videocassette logo

    5.Angels In The Outfield trailer

    6.1992 FP logo

    7.Green Format warning screen

  • No! Dese R 2 versions of Lion King: 1. Version B of 1991 FBI warnings 2. WDW promo 3. Pocahontas trailer 4. "Coming Soon to Videocassette" logo 5. Cinderella trailer 6. "Angels in the Outfield" trailer 7. Aristocats trailer 8. Version A of 1992 FP logo 9. green format logo 10. Dedication 2 Frank Wells 11. 1990 WDP logo w/Lion King cue music 12. Main tiles 2nd version's same thin', but #4 says "Coming to Videocassette" & was released when "Angels in the Outfield" came out.
  • Yes ur right. I own that version with Coming Soon

To Videocassette logo. It has Warning screen and

    2nd warning screen.

  • I 1/2 American cope dat shows FBI & "Licened For Private Home" prt.

  • That's incorrect. Lion King just cuts of to FBI part

and it just starts with Warning Screen and 2nd

    Warning Screen.

  • They could've added either of the following between the FP logo and format logo:

    - Walt Disney Home Video 1986

    - Walt Disney Classics 1992

    - Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection 1994

  • No it isn't. It is only on 101 Dalmatians

  • This isn't on The Great Mouse Detective

  • Yes it is.

  • @CAPRAFILMS yes is on this one

  • Try using the "Disney DVD" jingle plastered onto this logo.

  • They should've use this logo after the previews and the FP logo on "Pete's Dragon".

  • This is not fake or anything! This was a real thing! I rented the VHS and shortly right after the 1992 screens, this logo appeared.

  • Read my comment 1 week ago.

  • 'Ya know, when I 1st rented 101 Dalmatians, I thought it had nothing but the 1992 FBI warnings & 1989 classics logo, but I guess I was probally seein' things or fell asleep durin' the previews. I know was seein' things with the Classics logo 'cause 101 Dalmatians doesn't have that logo 'nor did they ever make a copy with that logo.

  • The early prints used that I know because my sister has the early prints and my Aunt Nancy has the postprint

  • It can't! Earliest printings of 101 Dalmatians use dis logo, dere couldn't B NE copies w/1989 WDC logo.

  • When you watch these logos you might want ot wear sunglasses. Why? Because Mickey is so Bright!!

  • But I made recoreded it from "Beauty And The Beast" and use the clean Disney classics Jingle.

  • That's impossible 'cause The Rescuers was the 1st 1 to have the electronic muffled jingle & Beauty & the Beast was released after The Rescuers, so Beauty & the Beast has this logo.

  • Yeah but it had the muffled jingle.

  • Right, that's what I meant to say.

  • This is my fave varie of this logo.

  • Can it be from The Great Mouse Detective.

  • No, but it was on The Great Mouse Detective & the video mjen1952 uploaded of this logo is from The Great Mouse Detective.

  • I was really right but Gen uploaded this from 101 Dalamtians

and she did own The Great Mouse Detective and 101 Dalamtians.

  • Cool!

  • I was right The Walt Disney Classics 1992 clean was taken from 101 Dalmatians.

  • Did the Coming on Videocassette logo appeared in The Aristocats

  • Why would that be on The Aristocats?!! That's old!!

  • The Aristocats is'nt old. It's new.

  • I'm incorrect, add The Fox and the Hound to that list!

  • I already know that these videos had the muffled version

    1. The Rescuers

    2. Beauty and the Beast

    3. Aladdin

    4. Pinocchio

The Fox and the Hound had the clean version also, but it was the 1988 version with black blue.

  • Wra-ong! The <b>REAL</b> list of vids that had D muffled '92 WDC jingle:

    1. The Rescuers

    2. Beauty and the Beast

    3. Aladdin

    4. Pinocchio

    5. So Dear to my Heart (Masterpiece print - has muffled jingle due to an error)

    6. The Fox and the Hound

Hey, do you know about any other Masterpiece Collection prints that have the muffled WDC jingle as an error?

  • All the 1994 release of the WDMC hasve 1992 muffled jingle

  • No, not Snow White.

  • I saw this on 101 Dalmatians & The Great Mouse Detective, but the Rescuers was the first title to have a jingle muffled with the 1992 logo.

  • Can you get the ending Previews from 101 dalmatians and logos can you also do the ending of 101 dalmatians

  • There's been nothing compared to the muffled logo

  • I have an idea. Why don't you ask Dan to help you capture the "Coming to Videocassette", and when it's done capturing you can put it on youtube.

  • Gabrielkat's NOY lying!!!

  • I think it might be easy if you download the "Coming to Videocassette" logo from Dan DeCosta, via Yahoo! Messenger.

  • Hey Gabrielkat can you please download the "Coming to Videocassette" logo on your copy of the "Lion King"?

  • I can't get it, because I don't have a video capture card. However, I CAN tell you this: look for a copy that has just the "Pocahontas" and "Angels in the Outfield" trailers, as well as the Walt Disney World ad.

  • There is no such copy as that! Everyone knows there's only 1 copy & it has: 1. 1992 FBI warnings 2. Walt Disney World promo 3. Pocahontas trailer 4. "Coming Soon to Videocassette" logo 5. Cinderella trailer 6. Angels in the Outfield trailer 7. The Aristocats trailer 8. 1992 FP logo 9. "This Movie Has Been Formatted to Fit Your TV" green logo Everyone knows that!
  • I am telling you! There IS a copy of "The Lion King" with just the Walt Disney World ad, as well as the "Pocahontas" and "Angels in the Outfield" trailers and the "Coming to Videocassette" bumper!! I happen to have this copy; Dan's copy has the bumper reading "Coming Soon To Videocassette", just like your copy does, mjen1952.

  • He's right, you know.

  • I have this version on The Fox and the Hound, but it has the Blue/Black Varient.

  • If that's the case, your copy must be a 1988/1989 printing.

  • There is no copy like that, they're only 2 versions made & they both have the 1992 electronic muffled logo.

  • wen i was little, i was scared by this in the first place, but got over it. the music, the letter font & letter colors made it scary.

  • Check out my video responce

  • Oh, now I see why you uploaded this logo, to give Movementent a clear version of the video. Out of your favorite film, you pick 101 Dalmatians right over it? (a la some guy on a cartoon show) What kind of twisted person are 'ya.

  • Yes, I like "101 Dalmatians", but my favorite film is actually "The Great Mouse Detective". I have fond memories of owning the two Classics videos of those films (I still have the latter).

  • I know that, but how could you pick 101 Dalmatians over your own favorite film? (Now I remember it was a la Zack Martin from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody) What kind of twisted person are 'ya?

  • Same here, and I want to have a chance to make up with when you uploaded my videos, do you forgive me.

  • i still have all the Classic vhs' =DD my favorite is The Little Mermaid.

  • The Little Mermaid was released in 1990 & had the 1989 logo.

  • what I meant is "out of the Classic VHS, TLM is my favorite" not "TLM has that logo".

  • Oh, hold on, not Movementent, I meant mjen1952. I meant to say, "Oh, now I see why you uploaded this logo, to mjen1952 a clear version of the logo. Out of your favorite film, you pick 101 Dalmatians right over it? (a la Zack Martin on "The Suite Life of Zach & Cody" show) What kind of twisted person are 'ya?"

  • Nice. Great Re-Mastering!

  • Thanks for uploading. Sorry I am making you wait so long, my camera is so hard to function, and it's not perfect.

  • I got this logo from Dan DeCosta, via Yahoo! Messenger.

  • How did you do that?

  • You didn't have to (re)-upload this logo, Mjen1952 already did that.
