every kershaw knife i won has the clip opsosite the way you have yours. thankfully this model and some others have the option to swith it over. it took some getting used to but i think tip down carry is a little nicer, but not a problem for me. overall the knife is excellent, as well as all kershaw knives. also the spring on yours may be worn out, mine opens effortlessly from every angle. send it in to get your spring replaced.

Yes i could bent the end of the clip tip a little and it would probably solve the problem. But i feel this is a design issue that the manufacture should of thought of. U know what i mean!

now did you have to drill new holes or what? because kershaw usually gives you the option of moving the clip to the users preferred side? lol
