Operation Frequent Wind evacuated tens of thousands South VN civilians in the final days. It is the largest helicopter evacuation in history. All that is shown in news clips are the last few hours of the effort that tragically could not save more. As a result the NVA executed many thousands of people.

Diem asked for US support. The US didn't send advisors till 1963 and military fighting men in 1965. There would be no war without North aggression. The South never attacked the North, the North made war on the South.

Operation Frequent Wind evacuated tens of thousands South VN civilians in the final days. It is the largest helicopter evacuation in history. All that is shown in news clips are the last few hours of the effort that tragically could not save more. As a result the NVA executed many thousands of people.

Historians have estimated if the Allies had to invade Japan's main islands to end WW II, the death toll would have been about 500,000. Some estimates went as high as 2 million. There would have been no war in Vietnam if Europeans would stop trying to conquer non-European lands. The roots of the Vietnam war go back to 1945 when the French tried to re-colonize Vietnam after WW2. US military advisors were in Vietnam by 1950. They were called the Military Assistance Advisory Group. From '55-'60 military advisors(Special Forces soldiers) numbered from 750-1500. Under Kennedy that number jumped to 3,200 by '61, and 16,000 by '63. In '65 3500 Marines were sent in.

The North Vietnamese sought by force to conquer the regime in the South. The South existed from 1954 when the French were ousted and the South vested in its own government, President Diem won elections in 1956 for South Vietnam to remain independant from the communist North. Diem asked for US support. The US didn't send advisors till 1963 and military fighting men in 1965. There would be no war without North aggression. The South never attacked the North, the North made war on the South.

Indochina was already Westernized including its language and writng, food and cultue. South Vietnam did not want to be communist. The North forced communism on the South. Oh, yeah, the North did not obey the Geneva Convention. The North used millions of civilian militia, 3 million of those militia died for the North, this was their figures. Workers on the Ho Chi Mihn trail lasted 3 months at most before death, disease or accident killed them. They would do dangerous work including defusing unexploded ordinance with simple tools, their bare hands. A million women alone died on the trail as forced labor. We did a proper military job slaughtering commjunists in VN.

Diem was a vicious fraud and his successors were equally brutal. Stop trying to falsify history. The North and South were brutal and murderous, but with different political convictions.
