Chargers my 2s lipos and various nimhs really quickly. Things really have changed in the RC world since I was messin with my Tycos in the earlly 90s!
i have a 3s battery and one is really daow voltage...can i balance the cells with this charger?if i have a dead cell in a 3s what can i do?trash?or can i fix it?thanks
Does this charger work good with 2s lipo's? Im a lipo noob and will be getting this charger and some 2s 4000mah packs to start with. I know only a little about lipo's. Not only can I not make sense of it, it also is not listed in the manual. Can I have some advice on what my problem is with this charger, or this battery?

I just got my Thunder AC6 a couple of days ago and am very happy, but I just can't get the PC software to work. Program is installed and shows graph on screen but no input from the charger and yes I do have the USB enabled on the charger. Anyone have any clues to what's wrong?
@schrockie1 You need to install the correct USB driver for your OS so the AC6 can be seen. You should have seen an error about USB Drivers for a CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller after it was plugged in.
Goto silabs.com then navigate to Products > MCUs > USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers, Down load and install the VCP Driver Kit for your OS
How do I discharge a 3s 11.1v 6400mah Li-Power by venom with this charger? The min discharge volts per pack is 9v and that is all it says on the battery about discharging.
@stampedevxl09 just select the discharge mode, choose the 9v 3s and hold enter down until it beeps and show discharging in progress. my batteries warn against discharging below 3.1v per cell 9.3v per pack, so to be on the safe side i wouldnt discharge below 9.5v per pack

I don't own any Ni-MH batteries, but just set the charger to Ni-MH charge, select the charge Amps, hook up the battery and hold the start button until it beeps and starts charging.
@robotheater you need to enable the USB port in the menu system... manual is not great, but once you change it from temperature to USB enable it starts working right away..
@robotheater Yeah, I was wondering about that myself... There is a setting for volt & temp, so that would lead me to believe that you can use the USB and therm prob at the same time. I am trying it now without any result... the lipo charge cycle had started before I tried it. I am really liking this charger... great price and looks like it works good.
I just got some bigger batteries 6s 22.2V and the charger drops it output to 2.2A's even if you are on a external Battery for 12vdc.. but it does work. I was hopeing to charge my new 22.2V batteries at full 5Amps but I guess not.. I like the charger a lot also. Price is right!
@robotheater I am having trouble on the lipo discharge... It will only go to 1amp discharge, but then during the cycle only goes to 0.5 amp... takes forever >120minutes timeout to discharge... I don't Think this is right... also having a couple problems with the software... on the Volt-Capacity view when the value is larger than the scale, it will cause the program to bomb. I also had the software start running wild and use all the available CPU cycles... can we trust this China Stuff?
nice vid, could not get mine to work with just the balance port pluged in, needed the bananna plugs going to the battery leads also. was geting the connection break error
Great video Mark,i have seen a few vid's on youtube about charges but this is one of the best because it makes sense,the others can sound a bit double dutch to me lol,waiting for another r/c plane in the post but as soon as i get that i will be getting a good charger like this one,5*
maybe you can show us how to connect this charger to a 12v marine or car battery?

I have this charger but the connection for the temperature sincer that hooks into the charger does not lock in. I do like the charger though.
