  • can you tell me how you made your tracks

  • @earthtojanson

My teacher didn't make them, but bought them. Try Kelvin.com or search for maglev kits. I think they are just magnetic strips glued to metal gutters, and a current is passed through the metal for power.

  • very cool

  • in order for the maglev to be fast,it has to be aerodynamic.Notice the slimmer maglev is faster but the square maglev is slow.

  • tv emo :p

  • im working on this exact same project in my tech class right now, its pretty fun

  • This is the most boring video I have ever seen! If you want to get kids involved more. Don't just rely on exhilarating music! Kids need words music and video representations! All together in one presentation!

  • I love the soundtrack, but was this shot with a cameraphone? My maglev car beat my high school record at 2.9 seconds I think. It was like 4 years ago though. Hizzah for maglev!

  • Actually, it was shot with a cheap Sakar digital camera. It shoots at 320 x 240 pixels at about 9 frames per second. Now you can see why the video is so grainy and blurry. Oh, did I mention it won't zoom while capturing video?

  • I'm sorry to hear that. :)

  • hey how did u make yours go so fas? i need te get a really fast one!

  • just use the least amount of weight possible, and tweak the wires going to the motor to touch the track as much as possible without dragging.

  • thanks

  • kool where did u get the track? im makeing those in school right now and i really want a track cus their so cool reply thanks!

or atleast i need to no where to buy some magnets lol!
