Is this line part of the old Lake Erie & Northern? Those tight curves and street running look like an electric line to me. The only thing that doesn't fit is a CN engine, because LE&N was owned by CP. I don't know Brantford very well, does this track line up with the "S. C. Johnson trail"?
Thanks for the video. I lived in Brantford for a couple of years and never saw train on that line. I always wondered how in the world they would get a train through there. Now I know, thanks again!
the guy that entrains at 2:08, is risking serious injury by riding on the stairwell instead of up on the end walkway. All it takes is 1 inattentive driver to hit the corner of the engine, to end up with a missing leg, or worse..It doesn't take much effort to climb up to the end & down again when necessary to throw a switch. I'm not for making more rules, but maybe riding on the stairwell should be prohibited..37 yrs on the CPR, & I wouldn't ride there along the travelled portion of a road.
I looked around and settled for the Panasonic SD 20 full 1920 X 1080. Takes great video even in low light, good battery life too. Should be able to pick one up for less that $500
Excellent video quality! Do you mind me asking what type of video camera you are using? I'm currently using the video function of my digital point and shoot camera.
Still would have been ok, speed is max 10 and 5 at all crossings so lots of time to stop. Notice the person make a left hand turn right in front of the train even though they had started to move.
Well I'll tell you one thing Mommy Dearest at 0:30 with the stroller noticed it because she looked right at the train as they crossed with the stroller, What if she would've tripped and the stroller along with the mom would've still been on the tracks and gotten hit wow way to look out for the kid!!!
Great video! Reminds me of when CN used to have tracks up Simcoe Street in Oshawa here. Simcoe south as well, they used to switch the AG Simpson plant in south Oshawa and the north GM stamping plant as well as Millwork Home Center with lumber and it was much the same thing. Straight up the center of the street.
Yes, they go every Wednesday.

That is so cool! Are both customers on this branch still using the railroad?

This mix of roadway and railway tracks design is badly flawed.

Yes, that was Mark the conductor, nice guy. He kept of informed of when they were going, even gave us directions to the "kitty litter".
