  • THA'S FREAKING KILLER

  • The highest note is slightly flat.

  • damn i didn't know mexicans could play music!!! lololol jkjk

  • What are you using to hit it? And, Are they just pipes, or do they have something in them?

  • Are you using a paintbrush?? What is that?

  • its okay.... but no life

  • nice sound.....how do you do the final fine tuning adjustments????....aloha, forest

  • Brilliant! I never would have thought of using PVC as a keyboard. I know the math, to cut the pipes the right length, but I'll bet you did a lot of experimenting. I like the duct tape connections. Good job!!!

  • is tht a paint brush

  • hey how did u make this? wat did u play it with?

  • a suggestion. made one of a chromatic scale so it can be played like a marimba

  • OMG the song is do re mi fa so la ti do and the the other one is twinkle twinkle little star

  • I want one of those... so bad...

  • i'll want that minute + back when i'm on my deathbed.

  • You basically made a PVC organ xD

  • damm that was good

  • Русские ёмаё

    Первая-До воробушка гнездо

    Вторая-чижик пыжик=)

  • Couldn't you write in English?

For the not-russians, it's quite difficult to understand this... :)

  • what nationality are you???

  • Cul.

  • Well, i need one!

    OMG

Well, yeah, like i said i need one!

  • musission

  • Very, very cool! No need to apologise for the virtuoso tunes. The construction and tuning are what are amazing!

  • COOL!!!

  • fair play i would do that but too much time in paintball tournaments

  • Nice job! Any particular reason why you tuned it to the key of "E maj"? \Or is there more still in construction?

  • how do you tune those things ? just cut a little off <t the time ?

  • Dude this is awesome

  • i think i sang this song!!

  • its do ray mee

  • JOIN THE BLUE MAN GROUP!

  • aaaahhhhhh! In The Key Of E. Not Much Else You Could Play Though. Still Nice Sound.

  • Comment removed

  • nice idea but like the others i reckon you should advance with perhaps two brushes at least or some sort of sliding thing maybe, and a better camera :)

  • That was......ummmmm.....OK.

  • what age are you? and how much time do you have on your hand's?......P.S can you do moon river??????

  • lmfao

  • ever think about having a slide on this to adjust pitch like a trombone? i think that would be possible and cool

  • blue man group do it all the time

  • Drum-bone.

  • Get 2 paint brushes and get down

  • Great invention!

    More innovation at RHYTHMTANDEM.

  • what was the first song name?

  • doe a deer

  • Are you using the microphone as a drumstick? lol

  • velly nice. I dig, I dig.

  • can you please tell me what dimensions these are? I would like to build a PVC instrument for my physics class, and it would be really helpful of you. Thanks, I appreciate it! good job!

  • Hey, Looking at my other PVC thing (Also on Youtube :P), these lengths should work: E: 205.0 cm F#: 184.5 cm G#: 163.0 cm A: 153.5 cm B: 136.5 cm C#: 121.0 cm D#: 108.5 cm E: 112.5 cm Check out Acoustic Resonance -> Resonance of a tube of air on Wikipedia for the physics behind it. Good luck with it! Post a vid when you finish :P!
  • lol well do, are these the straight pipes? also how did you figure out these lenghths? We need an instrument that plays in the C major. i also noticed that the lenghts differ a little bit according to this page s34.photobucket(DOT COM)/albums/d132/Animusx/Blue%20Man%20Group/?action=view&current=pipelayout.jpg

  • Hey, yeah, the lengths given were for just a straight bit of pipe. The lengths from photobucket are different because they've had the 6.5cm taken off for the curved bits on the end.

I used the formula on the Wikipedia page to calculate the lengths.

  • last guy's totally right, try clicking a beat along with this...

  • i noticed that too, cause i am smart, yes ok

  • Mi, A name I call myself.

  • Not being mean but kids (atleast young people) tend to shorten pauses in songs like in the first song so the rhythm gets messed up, keep the beat! It's usually like this when kids sing songs aswell, weird

  • Do a deer, a female deer. Re a drop of golden sun...Mi a name I call myself. Fa a long, long way to run! So a needle golden(?) thread, la, a note to follow so, Ti a drink with jam and bread, that will bring us back to Do!

  • Doe, a deer. A female Deer.

Re, A drop of Gold sun.

Mi, a name, I call myself.

Fa, A long, long way to run

    Sol, a needle pulling thread.

La, a note to follow sol.

Ti, A drink with jam and bread

That will bring us back to Doe.

We were forced to sing this song on the first day of my Theory class.

The history behind that is pretty cool. too!

  • hahahah cool!

  • first is do a deer from the sound of music then its either the alphabet song or twinkle twinkle little star then its just some notes from a scale.

  • The sound of music, perhaps?

  • it a classic one, like mozart i think

  • "Do, a Deer"

  • A female deer

  • I assume you noticed that the top note is a bit flat? :) A couple others are a little out of tune, but that's by far the most noticeable one.

  • E Major. not seen too often in my High school's concert band.

  • i figured it out on my bass,its, E F# G# A B C# D# E,right?

  • whats the tuning on that?

  • OMG! the first 'song' i haven't heard in years!! thank you! :D

  • Lolo...;)

  • how many cm's differece is there between notes in the pipes ? and is an octave half the size? and is ther a web site on making things like that?

  • Sweet! Now jus add the sarps and dthe flats, and you've got yourself a pretty sweet pvc instrument.

  • There are already 4 sharps in it because it's an E scale ;P

  • Sharps and flats with respect to the key.

  • now all you need is your sharps and flats and your set! :D

  • coolio, whats the paddle made of im i right in thinking its a percusion paddle?

  • hey, no, it's nothing quite that snazzy :P. I just used 2 10mm bits of foam stuck together on the end of a bit of wood - check out the description for links to some pics.
