Hey guys iv'e got a few questions. First of all, im 14 years old 155 CM 45KG my arms and legs are very thin (10-12 cm around my wrists) I have alot of fat at my chest and legs that i want to get rid of but also get more MEAT any advice? Also ive been working out alot lately is it going to F%!K up my bones or anything since im a growing kid? Weird question, is it important to sleep at night or is daytimesleeping fine ? Ive heard that good sleep is required while working out. Thanks <3
You are to young at the moment to make any real assessments. I remember when I was your age, I had chicken arms and chicken legs and man boobs and a big stomach. I was big in all the wrong places. When I turned 16/17, I had a lot of growth spurts and started gym, now I have a very muscular physique. Just wait at least until you are 16 to make any real progress. Also, weights won't hurt your bones, just make sure you don't do too much of it. Sleeping if fine any, but night is prefered
uhh you are not 11%. You are alot lower than that. I would say probably like 9%.
You should try using Hydrostatic or DEXA scans to measure that. Calipers have a margin of error which can account erroneous results. They are good but not that great.
I have been working out for 7 weeks using the P90X videos. I haven't lost much weight but I noticed my stomach and love handles are getting firmer. I pulled my back muscle and took 2 weeks off of the exercise program. If you take a few weeks off, does that set you back to the beginning?
@Janet1133 this might be a little late but anyway to reply to your question: do you think 7 weeks of muscle built will completely disappear in 2 weeks? You might not get your 100% results with the 2 week recovery but imo 80-90% of still is really great. Besides, life happens. You shouldnt be too worried. I hope you continued from where you left off :)

This technique works great. I check my waistline and bodyfat % every week. It only takes 2 minutes. And it is the only way you will know if what you are doing on exercise, cardio, and food is giving you results.

I eat 5 or 6 small meals a day healthy high in protein I been on my diet for 6 or 7 months I lost like 21 lbs of bodyfat I seen some veins here and there and my one thing I notice I'm solid but since being on my diet my muscles is harder even tho I got more bodyfat in my legs my calves appear bigger to some people meaning chicks lol but I do 10-20 reps for calves but really do 12-20 reps for calves is trail mix bars good to eat ?

When I left in 1999, I found that I'd lost my drive to lift weights. It's taken me this long to come back into weightlifting. I was thinking that a gallon of water weighed about 6.7 lbs but I was wrong. 1 gallon of water weighs 8.35 lbs. When my friends workout they don't understand why their weight fluctuates 5 lbs in a day. I say well, you're probably drinking about 5lbs of fluids and you eat at least 3 to 5 lbs of food a day so there's your weight fluctuation right there.
I like the fact that you said "If we cut all the fat off my body, I'll be dead" so casually. HAHA! Standing at 5'6, with 33 waist line, I feel fat.. and I bet, I'm having 25%+ body fat now.. Taking boxing now, for cardio.

Quick one would like to know if get the time to:) I'm on 80g fat 50g carbs 160g pro.Like to know yr opinion for fat loss is it alright to only take whey protein after workout! as I have my carb intake always before my workouts.thinkin best for fat loss?

so my clothes fall off like never before and i haven't worked out in atleast a good six months idk wats wrong i might have cancer or something i went from 260 in december to 191 on the scale yesterday? i think the scales broken but it is 1 week old

hey Darin - this rocks, thank you for the information. It would be really great if you could do a video actually showing how you take the skin fold caliper measurement. I'm following the directions on the device when I do it, but truthfully, I'm not sure I am doing it right, and would really appreciate a tutorial. Again, thank you for all you share here!

I eat 5 or 6 small meals a day healthy high in protein I been on my diet for 6 or 7 months I lost like 21 lbs of bodyfat I seen some veins here and there and my one thing I notice I'm solid but since being on my diet my muscles is harder even tho I got more bodyfat in my legs my calves appear bigger to some people meaning chicks lol but I do 10-20 reps for calves but really do 12-20 reps for calves is trail mix bars good to eat ?

I weigh like 250 stocky build now I lost 21 lbs of bodyfat but still stocky build but that aint a problem I want to know how much body fat before I can see more veins and even see my back muscles coming in I do 10-12 reps and I do 1 hour of cardio jogg or walking on treadmill ? is I'm at the point til I can gain muscle or still keep doing what I'm doing ?

Hi Darin. I'm 33 years young and live in Southern California. I exercised quite often before I went into the military in the early 90s. When I left in 1999, I found that I'd lost my drive to lift weights. It's taken me this long to come back into weightlifting. Your videos have done nothing but uplift my spirits and make me determined to lift and grow as confidently as I'm able. A million thanks to you and your techniques!

I was thinking that a gallon of water weighed about 6.7 lbs but I was wrong. 1 gallon of water weighs 8.35 lbs. When my friends workout they don't understand why their weight fluctuates 5 lbs in a day. I say well, you're probably drinking about 5lbs of fluids and you eat at least 3 to 5 lbs of food a day so there's your weight fluctuation right there.

I like the fact that you said "If we cut all the fat off my body, I'll be dead" so casually. HAHA! Standing at 5'6, with 33 waist line, I feel fat.. and I bet, I'm having 25%+ body fat now.. Taking boxing now, for cardio.
