We do need to be vigilant, honest, and just in proclaiming the Truth, but we also need to be compassionate, kind, and caring. Remember, God loves Oprah and desires her repentance...same goes for Eckart Tolle.

If she and Tolle are attacking the Church, then doubtlessly it is based upon misconceptions that need to be addressed and cleared up. As Bishop Sheen famously said, most people really don't hate the Church, but a great many hate what they mistake for Church teaching.

Tolle says in his book that the Church supressed the truth about Jesus Christ, instead saying that He is divine, and obfuscating the "truth" of his liberal wishy-washyness.
