Shirley was sitting in the audience at the time and we had just finished judging the evening's talent quest. The winner scored a gig for the following night at a local eatery from memory!

We'd (BEACHHEAD) played at the first Canberra Blues'n'Rock Festival the previous weekend and were in Victoria on what would be our last visit to the State and our last holiday together. Christ, I miss her!
