@sp3ar2envi Im not sure to be honest... right now i can hear the fan is running but it is really quiet, i love this laptop because of those fans... my laptop never get over heat and its been a year already.. the fans push the hot air to the back of the laptop so u will never feel the heat.... and yes it will get loud for a moment when it needs to cool of the intel i7... intel i7 has 4 monsters inside so yes it needs those fans... but it is not too loud to me mate

@brianvd3 M17x rocks the qosmio just check the specs on them, lowest of the M17x and lowest of the qosmio plus at least the M17x can run BC2 good the qosmio is great without a doubt in fact i am thinking of buying it if the M17x i am looking at gets sold.
i was just as happy as you were when i got mine January 2010. now the thing is pretty much shit, ive had issues with the graphics card/motherboard, when you have headphones plugged in there is an obnoxious noise that is clearly audible when there is no audio being played. the battery also makes an awful sound when the computer is fully charged, ive had issues with the computer not recognizing USB devices. many other issues. $1700 for this thing! i wish i would have gotten an ASUS...

if you are running at high performance and just dicking around on it ive had mine last 3-4 hours, balanced around 4-5 hours. it also has an eco mode but who would use the eco mode on a gaming laptop lol?

@dan1619889 im a online gamer so i play 6-8 hours almost everyday.... never once i got overheat that the laptop need to shutdown or had a warning... the 2 fans on the back work very good for this laptop... my room will get a little warm after 6-8 hours of playing (what do u expect?) but my laptop never get hot... @McJerkins I just got the 870 a few months ago, i was going to get the 885 but i chose the 870 because it has a second hard drive bay.
You shouldn't be disappointed with this laptop. You can play portal on the absolute maxed settings with almost no issues. and those speakers literally make the laptop vibrate.
@McJerkins I plan on buying a Qosmio for the release of GW2 too. I had an old Qosmio G40 and it was sick!!! cant wait to see what they did with the series, but defietly Qosmio is the way to go

i bought the Q880 in this model. love it,fast,big,not too heavy that i cant take it around with me. Graphics are good,memory is fast. No problems at all. just got rid of all the annoying start up gabage so it's lights right up. good for you,glad to see someone with a good machine

@oLittleBear you didn't read all of my post :P i dont have the laptop yet, but I will within be getting a better model in a month. i know that it can play crysis, as ive seen this model play it in videos on youtube. i think the settings were almost on max, with a slight AA exception, and it played w/ FPS between 27 and 36/40. search, "Q870" or "Q880" on here and you should find it.
there aren't a lot of videos anywhere for this laptop, so i intend to record many, with lots of different games.
It was love at first sight and it all started last month

@Maxer5ooo I've previously had the X200 and X300 and they both failed on me. I don't know the build quality of this new toshiba but on the previous laptops they were crap.

@john0022 Oh, alright. I bought the Packard Bell Easynote TJ75-724, and it's awesome! Intel core i5, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 with 1024MB, it's amazing!

I'm getting this in a month or so :D Man I can't wait. I want one so badly. I'm may get the Q880 instead, but we'll see how my payment deal turns out. I'd rather get it now and pay it off :P
@xValekWilliamsx: Bigger is better >:D It's a desktop replacement PC. It's not built for mobility, but it has the capability of course. That's the benefit of this monster. You can play GTA:IV or Crysis on the couch :D

@oLittleBear you didn't read all of my post :P i dont have the laptop yet, but I will within be getting a better model in a month. i know that it can play crysis, as ive seen this model play it in videos on youtube. i think the settings were almost on max, with a slight AA exception, and it played w/ FPS between 27 and 36/40. search, "Q870" or "Q880" on here and you should find it.
there aren't a lot of videos anywhere for this laptop, so i intend to record many, with lots of different games.
