@bw1961bw Many thanks for your kind comments. The phrase that plays during the Granada dipole ident is probably my favourite BJH reference in the piece.
As for the diamond cards, a gentleman in Dudley sent some photocopies of the original drawings to the Transdiffusion archive. The diamond cards were commissioned by the ITA and manufactured by Marconi for all of the early contractors.
@Woollylinnet LOL! Well spotted! Mind you, as "Winter Hill" doesn't actually exist I don't suppose it matters too much where it goes! This is a classic case of concentrating on one thing so hard you miss everything else. I was obsessing so hard over making the slides look authentic that I really wasn't paying enough attention to what I was actually putting on them. I suppose it proves they're not real though. Just lucky I didn't include the Channel card with Les Toilets on it...
Fantastic job and the globes are now smooth as silk too, worth re-jigging. Could do with a tweek to the castellations on test card F though as they have the wrong spacings at the top (the teeny bit you can see under the colour bars ) and the bottom. The black and green squares should be the same size...
@Knightyknight72 Many thanks for your comment and yes, the Test Card F is a bit of a 'mare! You've probably also noticed that I didn't make the decimal points in the gratings labels large enough either.
At 2:10 - is that the original ABC Cinemas/Television opening that only Transdiffusion seems to reference (but not show - they have the one used in the latter half of its life)? Would you happen to have a raw source for it? The Private Parts seem to have the audio, of course, but it's still such a pity archives have glaring holes like that.
@callwithcurrentconti Yes, it is, sort of. It's a recreation based as closely as I could manage to the recollections (and some sketches in biro!) of a very nice chap who used to watch it in the 50s. Therefore falls in the twilight zone between mock and recreation. I'm sure the whole thing will be released eventually.
@stupidrubbish Cripes, that's a quick reply - a pity, though, that. Strange how the other three seem to have better archives, but mine is not to complain, anyway.
Top notch work as ever Dave, and bonus points for the knowing BJH references.
Where did you find the 1950s Granada variation of the A/R diamond test card? I haven't seen any variants of those designs other than from Malta.

First things first - a much-improved remake of an already excellent production.
However, I've noticed a couple of things...
South-West Transmitter listing - were there two Winter Hills, or did Bolton's most prominent landmark go on tour? I assume you meant Caradon Hill?
Lancashire (plus a bit) listing - I'm kicking myself that I didn't spot the mis-spelling of WindeRmere the first time round.

To paraphrase Ed McMahon in the opening of Johnny Carson's "Carnac the Magnificent" bits - Thumbs up, thumbs up, a thousand "thumbs up's."
