This isn't combining anything. This IS bulletstorm. The only difference is that the main character isn't voiced by Steve Blum, which makes it not as cool. However, if they can go against the current trend that Gears of War, Bulletstorm, Call of Duty, inFamous, Kane and Lynch, and other games have, where there's an absense of a lifebar- IF they can go against the grain and keep one in here, then I'll definately look into it.

Ok, maybe I'm being too harsh. I think that the idea of gravity shifts is cool, but the problem with something like that, is that it's extremely easy for the gravity shift idea to either become really old really quick, or that the mechanics for the gravity shift are complex and convoluted. It's a great idea, but I'm worried because I know that it doesn't take much for a novel idea like that to get screwed up really easily.

No- I didn't say "that all a game needs to sell is a lifebar," only that a lot of games have similar mechanics, and that they too, lacked a lifebar.

Again, it's just my opinion, and while I AM a proponent of the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" belief, I DO believe that variation is good- it exposes people to new things. Possibly things they didn't know about, or haven't been tried yet. This helps developers create new game mechanics, and give a more unique experience to their game.
