It is a restaurant known locally as the Texas Tea Room, the Texas Inn, or simply that place with the Cheesy Western. You sit down in the small room at a bar that holds only about 8 people. The people there are crazy. The thing to order is a Cheesy Western. A Cheeseburger topped with a fried egg and about a pound of onions. When you order, they shout out, "Chhheeeeeesay!" just so everyone knows you ordered the Cheesy Western.

He is a 15 year leather repair master who repairs leather couches, upholstery, carseats, or jackets. He has worked for some celebrities, but is always looking for more work. He also has 6 kids! Anyways, you can find LA Leather Repair easily and he is awesome. Come and make a commercial....and a memory, with him.

The reasons why you should do this place is because they build and design their own photo booths, they wrote all of the soft ware. The owner(s) also have a very similar personality as you guys. In California, Ojai Valley Electronics & Hobby. The store's been there for over 23 years, and it's the only electronics store in the whole valley. They've been broken into three times, and each time the items that got stolen was worth waaay less than the windows themselves, and yet they survive in the tiny city. It's pretty much everything from HDMI cables, to tiny butterfly finger kites, to things that explode. And the staff's insane. Especially the chick.
If you're in Missouri, there's a store called Gameco, and the guy that owns it definitely knows his stuff, he's a cool guy and he knows his games. It's on North Oak Trafficway in Gladstone, MO. Try THESE shoes on for size: Footworks in Attleboro Massachusetts, where cobblery and pedorthics are combined by the one and only Gary Lavoie. He kinda looks like the crazy scientist from Back to the Future, but with a wicked boston accent. It's in a strip mall next to a sandwich shop and a nail salon (He own the entire property) and also his amazing home and backyard, which is like a secret garden almost. He's been teaching diver's ed for over 30 years and I think it's made him a little... *clears throat* He tells stories about demon squirrels and stuff. And his student driver car's license plate is "EEEEK" (Yeah, he's the one who came up with it.) But P-town is so small he's taught practically everyone around there how to drive. I think he's some great "local commercial" potential.

there is s place in reno, nevada called The Spyshop. they sell legitimate hidden cameras and weapons as well as safes made from food and drink cans. they also have gag things such as shock pens and a liquid that is translucent but turns your skin purple if you touch it. it is also located in an interesting area; it is in between the bustling city and the normal small town reno. my favorite part though is the sign on their window- Weve got everything James Bond had except for the cars and women.
in south dakota in lead there is a small pizza place owned by a nice family called pizza lab where they experiment with pizza flavors. Also there is a truffle shop called chubby chipmunks run by a young woman not over the age of 35.

We have a coffee shop named the Celtic Moon Cafe that is connected to a fortune teller. They are run by the same people and they are really nice. The owner actually let my friend's drama group film their movie there and he acted in it too.

A Moon Jump 4-U in Melrose Park, IL. My uncle owns it and it would be hilarious if you guys did a commercial for it. They rent and deliver those bounce house things and all other kinds of party stuff. It's almost all family-run. Also, my dad owns a lawn mowing company Big Bear Lawn Care. K9 Wash -n-Go in Boise, ID. A self groom dog shop that also has dog groomers. They have two cute Boston Bulls that pretty much run the joint. One of the dogs talks: Says "Mama" and just talks a lot. My dad works as a chef here at this chinoy (chinese and filipino) restaurant, and he makes the best Chinese food you will ever have. My dad says that the restaurant is dying, and I believe that it is unfair for that to happen since commercialized food venues such as Panda Express take away the true value of experience of a chef that has over 40 years of experience. Take on this challenge to help us and you will probably even taste the best food while at it

"Hot Mama" at Shabu Japanese restaurant in Mission Viejo, CA (1 hour south of L.A.). She is: funny, cute, extroverted, older, little Asian lady. Flirty, insists on teaching you the Shabu "swish-swish" at your table or at the bar, where she will throw back a beer or shot if you buy one for her.....wears apron that says "Hot Mama," sometimes "Sexy Mama." She loves her customers. When you leave, she will run out the door with the bowl of Halloween candy you "forgot" to sample on your way out.
okay there is this place called hire's burgers in salt lake city, utah. It's a pretty cool place. Not a chain. Has a burger that they are famous for called the big H. They have this thing called fry sauce which is funny because it's kind of a utah thing. You can get fry sauce wherever you go out there. It's mainly made of two common condiments (funny word),mayonnaise and ketchup. Really good try it.

It's a Japanese style crepe shop owned and run by Paul and I think its his son only. he really loves making crepes and he'll even show you the propper way the eat them, and he remembered my name the second time i came in...and it had been a whole month! he's a super nice guy who makes super tasty crepes at Crepes 4 U! : )

Cupcake Jones is an awesome cupcake bakery. They bake something like 7 different types of cupcakes in a day and it's never the same kind two days in a row. The employees tend to get really confused I've noticed. I think they might be sniffing some "Organic Flour" if you catch my drift... anyways this is just one local business. Good Luck. My boyfriends mother, Chris, also runs her personal business doing professional framing from her household. She has qualifications both in the USA and the UK, and is one of few people in the world to possess such marks in the dieing craft of framing and mounting.
There's also the local Community Theater in Tehachapi which most of my friends act in or work for, and being a community theater, most of them do both.
I'm currently studying abroad in London, UK, but the town I lived in for 16 years is Tehachapi, CA, and it has quite a selection of unique businesses to choose from.
There is, of course, Taco Sammich, a very cheap eatery, though the owners I don't know personally.
There is CrossRoads Art Gallery, which my boyfriends mother, Chris, works in. They sell works from local artists including hand made jewelry, metal sculptures, photography and framed art.
If you two are ever in Western North Carolina, Franklin to be exact, you should consider doing a commercial for Books Unlimited. The store is one of the more popular independent bookstores in the area. People drive from surrounding counties to stop by rather than shopping at their own local bookstore. They go to Books Unlimited not only for their book selection but for the three fat and friendly cats and Robert, who was nicknamed the Pun-master by frequent customers.
Roburrito's BEST BURRITO'S EVER! Around since 2005 this small mexican restaurant has accumulated hundreds of regulars from college kid to the elderly ( I myself buy a burrito at least once a week, I'm also a poor college student haha). They are so successful that they have had to expand into 4 different locations all in PA. The owner Rob Schulz is trying to change his last name to Burrito. I mean how do you not pick a place like this??? Have a nice day! :D

OK.. I'm gonna break all the rules here, but i think its worth mentioning so don't hate too much: there is this place in my town called Crisp Coon funeral home. Its in Winter Haven FL so I know its out of the target zone, but there is another funeral home about 4mins drive away called the Ott-Laughlin funeral home. I've never physically gone inside either, but drive by both often and thought that there may be some interesting possibilities there. Anyway thought I'd mention it n see what happens.

Just in case you guys are ever near Massachusetts, you should go to Andrea's pizza in North Reading.
The owner is a really loud greek guy with the sterotypical accent.
The guy on the pizza boxes in his place was designed after him.
The food is absolutely delisious, and the place is smaller and nice. It's right next to a bowling alley.

In Beaverton Oregon, there is just a franchise branch of "The Dollar Depot". The guy that works there - he is just an employee -is really great. He just kind of talks to you as your checking out, everyone loves him - I think it would make his life - and mine - if you came to do a commercial.

The people there are crazy. The thing to order is a Cheesy Western. A Cheeseburger topped with a fried egg and about a pound of onions. When you order, they shout out, "Chhheeeeeesay!" just so everyone knows you ordered the Cheesy Western.

He is a 15 year leather repair master who repairs leather couches, upholstery, carseats, or jackets. He has worked for some celebrities, but is always looking for more work. He also has 6 kids! I know this isn't in the western part of the US, but it's across the street from my house and I really love it. It's in Down town Louisville, KY. It's called Magnolia Photo booth. The reasons why you should do this place is because they build and design their own photo booths, they wrote all of the soft ware. The owner(s) also have a very similar personality as you guys. Also, the places signature is a moustache! I think they've done a lot and have earned something like this. Please consider!!!!

BUNGHOLE LIQUORS (a.k.a. The Bunghole)
2 stores: Salem, MA (witch hunts) and Peabody, MA. The original in Salem was a Prohibition speakeasy under a funeral home. They called it "The Bunghole" to keep it hushed. When Prohibition was lifted, the name stuck, and they made it an official store.
Now, they sell liquor and novelties including T-shirts that say "I GOT IT IN THE BUNGHOLE."

Small town Police department? Bainbridge Island, WA. It's an island just west of Seattle with virtually no crime. They post "police blotter" in the weekly paper and it's so comical. This is an actual bit of blotter "10:54 a.m. A Winslow Way business owner reported the uprooting an ivy plant that had been growing in front of her store for 10 years. No suspects."
The local school kids make so much fun of the BI cops...perfect for a local commercial.

In California, Ojai Valley Electronics & Hobby. The store's been there for over 23 years, and it's the only electronics store in the whole valley. They've been broken into three times, and each time the items that got stolen was worth waaay less than the windows themselves, and yet they survive in the tiny city. It's pretty much everything from HDMI cables, to tiny butterfly finger kites, to things that explode. And the staff's insane. Especially the chick.

Try THESE shoes on for size: Footworks in Attleboro Massachusetts, where cobblery and pedorthics are combined by the one and only Gary Lavoie. He kinda looks like the crazy scientist from Back to the Future, but with a wicked boston accent. It's in a strip mall next to a sandwich shop and a nail salon (He own the entire property) and also his amazing home and backyard, which is like a secret garden almost. If you're ever in New England again, make sure to give Gary a call!

The store is awesome selling 20's-80's poplar clothing at discounted prices. I would like to nominate Pataskala Driver Training for a local commercial. The owner is Randy and he's a character. He's been teaching diver's ed for over 30 years and I think it's made him a little... *clears throat* He tells stories about demon squirrels and stuff. And his student driver car's license plate is "EEEEK" (Yeah, he's the one who came up with it.) But P-town is so small he's taught practically everyone around there how to drive. I think he's some great "local commercial" potential.

there is s place in reno, nevada called The Spyshop. they sell legitimate hidden cameras and weapons as well as safes made from food and drink cans. they also have gag things such as shock pens and a liquid that is translucent but turns your skin purple if you touch it. it is also located in an interesting area; it is in between the bustling city and the normal small town reno. my favorite part though is the sign on their window- Weve got everything James Bond had except for the cars and women.

A Moon Jump 4-U in Melrose Park, IL. My uncle owns it and it would be hilarious if you guys did a commercial for it. K9 Wash -n-Go in Boise, ID. A self groom dog shop that also has dog groomers. They have two cute Boston Bulls that pretty much run the joint. One of the dogs talks: Says "Mama" and just talks a lot. The owner's really receptive to fun stuff. They have regular mutts that came in that are pretty funny, too.

My dad works as a chef here at this chinoy (chinese and filipino) restaurant, and he makes the best Chinese food you will ever have. My dad says that the restaurant is dying, and I believe that it is unfair for that to happen since commercialized food venues such as Panda Express take away the true value of experience of a chef that has over 40 years of experience. Take on this challenge to help us and you will probably even taste the best food while at it

There is a Bellevue, Oregon! It was settled in about 1860, and is extremely small.
It is essentially just a school house, and little to no population. I think you guys should go there and at least take a picture in front of the old one roomed school house :D

"Hot Mama" at Shabu Japanese restaurant in Mission Viejo, CA (1 hour south of L.A.). She is: funny, cute, extroverted, older, little Asian lady. Flirty, insists on teaching you the Shabu "swish-swish" at your table or at the bar, where she will throw back a beer or shot if you buy one for her.....wears apron that says "Hot Mama," sometimes "Sexy Mama." She loves her customers. When you leave, she will run out the door with the bowl of Halloween candy you "forgot" to sample on your way out.

okay there is this place called hire's burgers in salt lake city, utah. It's a pretty cool place. Not a chain. Has a burger that they are famous for called the big H. They have this thing called fry sauce which is funny because it's kind of a utah thing. You can get fry sauce wherever you go out there. It's mainly made of two common condiments (funny word),mayonnaise and ketchup. Really good try it.

i'm excited to see new local commercials! well i have a suggestion, but it's in Plano, TX. not sure if this is helpful, but this place it totally worth mentioning! It's a Japanese style crepe shop owned and run by Paul and I think its his son only. he really loves making crepes and he'll even show you the propper way the eat them, and he remembered my name the second time i came in...and it had been a whole month! he's a super nice guy who makes super tasty crepes at Crepes 4 U! : )

Cupcake Jones is an awesome cupcake bakery. They bake something like 7 different types of cupcakes in a day and it's never the same kind two days in a row. The employees tend to get really confused I've noticed. I think they might be sniffing some "Organic Flour" if you catch my drift... anyways this is just one local business. Good Luck. My boyfriends mother, Chris, also runs her personal business doing professional framing from her household. She has qualifications both in the USA and the UK, and is one of few people in the world to possess such marks in the dieing craft of framing and mounting.
There's also the local Community Theater in Tehachapi which most of my friends act in or work for, and being a community theater, most of them do both.

I'm currently studying abroad in London, UK, but the town I lived in for 16 years is Tehachapi, CA, and it has quite a selection of unique businesses to choose from.
There is, of course, Taco Sammich, a very cheap eatery, though the owners I don't know personally.
There is CrossRoads Art Gallery, which my boyfriends mother, Chris, works in. They sell works from local artists including hand made jewelry, metal sculptures, photography and framed art.

If you two are ever in Western North Carolina, Franklin to be exact, you should consider doing a commercial for Books Unlimited. The store is one of the more popular independent bookstores in the area. People drive from surrounding counties to stop by rather than shopping at their own local bookstore. They go to Books Unlimited not only for their book selection but for the three fat and friendly cats and Robert, who was nicknamed the Pun-master by frequent customers.

Roburrito's BEST BURRITO'S EVER! Around since 2005 this small mexican restaurant has accumulated hundreds of regulars from college kid to the elderly ( I myself buy a burrito at least once a week, I'm also a poor college student haha). They are so successful that they have had to expand into 4 different locations all in PA. The owner Rob Schulz is trying to change his last name to Burrito. I mean how do you not pick a place like this??? Have a nice day! :D
