As far as a digging tool goes, I picked this up at sears/.com , Craftsman Garden Planter tool, the blade design is great 1 serrated, 1 smooth/sharp and a root cutter on the tip as well as 1-4 inches marked on the blade. I make great serrated cut plugs with it. Only thing I don't like is the handle comfort, although once you learn how to dig plugs with it comfortably, its not so bad. Lifetime warranty exchanges at sears too, no questions asked :-).

    Happy Hunting!

  • Also, the Item is $10 on sale generally and stout.

  • lesche tools

  • @fishercz20

Ya, I know about the Lesche. But after digging with this cheap Lesche copy, I don't like the way it's shaped. My other digger was a straight bladed style digger, and I didn't have to dig such a big hole just to get my digging tool in the hole to work. I find with the "L" shape Lesche style digging tool, I can't maneuver inside the hole, unless it's bigger than needed. But, everyone agrees the Lesche is the way to go.

  • I like Lents Park i grow up on 89th south end. I hunted the park years ago at the tot lot and in the area above the dog run next to the tennis courts found most clad and a real 22gal gun that was 10in deep all rusted togather. HH Ed
