@PappahShango quite a few musicians don't smile; when you smile you mess up more. I know from personal experience that smiling makes it harder play. so it's basically a question of, would you like him to look happy or play correctly?

May I ask, how do you record?

Do you just put on a CD or something with the music and just record both you and the CD or do you record just yourself and then synch it with an audio file of the song when editing?

Do you have a certain trick?

@OmegaMetroid93 What I do is I download an mp3 of the audio track that I'm playing along with. Then I listen with headphones and record myself playing with it. I take the soundtrack mp3 I listened to and sync it to the video/violin playing files I made.

Cuz it has to be so exact.

@OmegaMetroid93 It is slightly difficult. You have to really listen to the recording while playing, otherwise, you'll be offsync by a lot. I wasn't completely happy with how this was even synced, but the program I use only allows you to shift audio/sound so many millisconds. It's great to use this method because I can make the soundtrack inclusive, but it really limits the number of ways I can play the pieces. xD
