What you have to realise is that before, people decided wich bands became famous but today, that's the job of big compagnies and that's why most of mainstream music sucks. Problem is we're too lasy to look for good music so we sit aroud complaining that what's in front of us sucks but I can assure you that if you took the time to look, you'd realise that music today is about as good as before !

I'm 16 as well, and everyone thinks that today's youth has awful taste in music, but not all of us do. I have nothing against the vast majority of music types, genres, etc. But I do have favorite bands ofcourse, such as Sublime, the 90's Sublime that is, old Weezer, Sonic Youth ofcourse, Toadies, Harvey Danger, and so on. I really didn't know this song was about J Mascis. When Dino Junior played in my home city in Australia, they were under appreciated, and people walked out of the concert. They performed well I thought, not as good as Sonic Youth back then though. Still the song ''Over it'' by D Junior is awesome.
