1. 'zaichiki' literary are bunnies, not rabbits as anyone says, but disambiguation for 'zaichiki' is light spots or speckles of sunlight (that's why thy die after the sunset)
2. 220 (Volts) is household AC voltage in Russia and other post-soviet states
3. the song is about someone who decides to electrocute himself and his girlfriend (to start while she is asleep) because for him such kind of death is better than some kind of misunderstanding
Sunbeams on a wall/after a sunset always vanish./Death is easy so/ lights disappear while switching current./ Refrain: Two and twenty on yourself!/ Wire the body and go forth!/ Two and twenty into me./Two and twenty into her!/You teach me how to wait/and you are telling/mere phrases/I wanna give all I have./ All and at once if we are lovers!/(Refrain)/You wont realize while asleep//if it is love than all burns in fire./Sunbeams on a wall// after the sunset are always dying!// (Refrain)
Ok, finished the translation (yes another one). The volume controls were not fondled while dubbing the subtitles onto it: overlaid my Mp3 file onto it... and actual subtitles are there with a proper translation... it's hard to not sound sarcastic about some of the crappy translations of this video on youtube...
Click my name, it's listed in uploads with the rest of the Russian video's I've started translating.
Whoever did this translation did a very obvious thing: they cut and pasted a Russian version of the lyrics into a machine translation website and voila, shitty translation.
Working on a non retarded (and wrong) translation.... lol at 220 on yourself. Give it a week.
The lyrics in the info looks like literal translation from Russian. I've got this lyric from th absolutelyrics com lyrics view t.a.t.u. spark, and it looks more like English version of the song, called Spark.
You'd still better learn Russian in order to understand such a weird lyrics. Those words have almost no meaning, but a lot of expression. And expression itself, together with playing of words makes this song not as meaningless as some of you might think. Explaining of all words playing is very time consuming work and do not give you all kind of nuances that you might looking for. Learning Russian is the best way ever.
The original russian translation mention perpetuators behavior as violence and suicide it might seem disturbing for some individuals. But the role in the creation of this song is relativity art form...

the new album seems to be something between 200 km and Dangerous & Movin, honestly, they shouldve done something new, this sounds stupid, meaningless lyrics which are supposed to sound depressing. you can tell they totally cannot dance, and what is Lena doing here? this is like Yulia's single... ridiculous.....
This is just like White Robe but opposite, in White Robe its Lena singing almost everything and Yulia joining in with the chorus. In 220 its Yulia singing pretty much everything and Lena joining in on the chorus. ^_^
when i think of the english translation i think the voltage has to do with the energy within urself. and t.A.T.u's dance move(robot like) remind be of bursts of energy cause their stiff first then move all of the sudden. i see it more metaphoric cause not actually volts goin through u. that wouldnt be the best for ur health. but im prob wrong. damn why cant they offer russian at school. this language is awsome.

Little specks of light on the wall
die when the sun sets
Lifelessness is especially easy
As reflected lights fade and disappear
220 volts inside myself
Wrap around me and taking me foward
220 volts inside myself
220 volts inside her

You're teaching me patience
And you're saying absurd phrases
But I want to give back everything
If this love is meant for us just once
you don't understand your dreams
If this love is all that burns you
Little specks of light on the wall
die when the sun sets
