I have nothing against Ossetian independence, but I am against the Russian occupation of both North and South Ossetia. Both parts should unify and be free of Russian occupiers. Kosovo is recognized by The US, France, etc and thirty other countries... I don't understand why they just didn't have NATO or UN peacekeepers there for 50 years, but still keep Kosovo in Serbia, it would be de facto independent. International law has been greatly damaged by the western powers recognizing Kosovo. I'm happy we stopped the bloodshed from the Serbs, but the Georgians started to do the exact same thing in S. Ossetia, funny how we sing a different tune this time.
