Your such a lovely rider! You sat very quiet and didn't interfere at all & your horse is gorgeous! A well deserved win! Congrats :D I was crying with you aha :P Are you at HOYS this year at WH? :) xxx
@garnet2424 Hi Thank you very much. We were sad to sell him after Hoys. He goes this year with his new rider, and we go this year with a new horse in the intermediate wh.
hi, this may seem an odd question. i live in canada where we do have hunter classes but they are different to the uk's, there are different rules regarding tack and such. And the courses are too very different in north american hunter rings, the jumps are simliar but the the courses run differently. and i was wondering in UK hunter classes what are the judges looking for exactly, and how are hunters in the UK judged? thanks :)
@halftheworldaway100 Hi There is a scoring system - 50 for getting a clear; out of 20 for style, out of 20 for conformation and out of 10 for the show.
@nickstrapp Beautiful pony - very fluid and forward-moving! I'm from Canada as well, so it's interesting to hear how you are scored in the UK. What's the difference between style and show? And are you graded on lead changes and getting correct distances between fences?
hi, well done, lovely round. are 148 in this class aswell or is there a different class?? if so do you have any idea 148 class is? i fancy doing workers with my pony this year, but i am out of age bsja. wb please xx
@nickstrapp ok thanks, my pony had a hight certificate at 143.7cm, would you know if she is in this or class below? i thought this class but my mum said to ask, because qualerfiers will be knew to me, and i cant find much info on internet. :)) x
@RebeccaM94 Hi If you have a life height certificate for 143.7 that will mean you have to go in the 153 class which is unfortunate. You will find all the rules on the website for British Show Pony Society and Ponies UK. You have to be a member of one of these to qualify for HOYS, and your pony will have to be registered with them. The rules will tell you everything you need to know about age of rider, height of jumps, marks for judging etc.

Regarding qualifying - you have to win a qualifier. These are listed on the BSPS website
nickstrapp 10 months ago
@Horse/crazyOnline you have to go to a qualifier, normally at bsps or puk or nps show you have to be registered with one+ of those societys!

@RebeccaM94 Hi yes - ponies of 143cm to 153cm are in this class. Riders can be up to 21 years so it could be a good class for you.
