Loved - ULTIMATE PLAY THE GAME - games! I can recall one I owned but I cant remember the name of it. It consisted of 3D medieval street scenes and I think the object was to kill 4 enemies. Anyone know its name? Very hard to play.

Who made this game? Was it the Stamper Bros or U.S. Gold? Because at this point the Stamper Bros sold the Ultimate company to U.S. Gold and started a new company (Rare).

There's loads of time in Knight Lore to complete it. Unless you were going for 100%. Then the time gets tight.

This was programmed internally at Ultimate. Martianoids & Bubbler were the products of US Gold.

So you shoot the wells to get objects! Now I know ... I've played this game a few times over the years & never understood what you were supposed to be doing. Knightlore & Alien 8 are more straightforward.

This was really obscure in the instructions. My mate discovered the firing at the wells by accident and then the game came alive.

I've just read the original instructions: 'and silvery waters drawn forth from the well did quench the ravages of time.' You weren't kidding when you said it was obscure! If I understand the rest correctly, there are 4 of them & once you get them all, this reveals the pentagram, on which you place the rune things you find. You would think being able to fire would make this easier than Knight Lore, but it's one tough pig of a game.

Sandy White is an anagram of 'Heady Twins'. You can't get away from it! What more evidence do you need? Yeah, it's just a rehash of their older stuff.

I never saw this as i gave up on Ultimate after the crummy (in my opinion) Nightshade, just as well by the looks of it!

Just wait until you see Bubbler then. A real treat. Nightshade was a piece of shite. Nice graphics but boring.

This looked alot harder than the rest of the Ultimate games. Looked impossible.

It was harder and it gets even harder after you change all the rock structures. The nasties keep coming out every few seconds and somehow manage to land on you.
