  • We were totally raging it.

  • ok, show of hands: how many ppl who see this can honestly say they made it all the way through the all-night set at big cypress? this guy did, and i can tell you there weren't that many of us still standing...what a great time, wouldn't trade having been there for anything. thank you phish, don't ever leave us again!

  • @harpua76 I made it all night . . . I remember a lot of people crashing during drowned . . . but the After Midnight Reprise had everybody up and going strong through morning

  • from 2:00 to 2:15 is 15sec of pure bliss

  • @nichobert hell YEAH, that was exactly what i wanted to hear at that point! I mean, the sky was f-in divided, for god's sake! ;P

  • Cheesecake!

  • Anyone else remember being uber-bitter when they decided Velvet Sea was more appropriate than Divided Sky? Oh man, we were such ingrates lol.

  • I love to wait for this vid to fully load and then slowly scroll through it and watch the sunrise. Such a great and beautiful experience. All who were there, all 80,000+ of us, shared something really special along with that band. Glorious times!!!

  • 6.00 to 6.18 is like a trip straight to jamaica...this 2001smokes!!

  • so dope. so, so dope.

  • I can't believe I'm registering a complaint about the greatest phish show ever, but I remember being disappointed they didn't play this particular jam earlier- they waited until it was pretty light out, thereby losing some of the effect of the lights, which are so important for this song...oh well.

  • Steven Hill - find Jeff - He is in Roanoke

  • I remember the last song they played in the afternoon set was Clapton's "After Midnight". We all freaked.

Then we all scrambled to royally party before the midnight set.

My buddy left to throw up champagne & all else at about 12:30...then returned pretty fast. Craig is a champ.

I remember wondering if "all of the traffic lights will still be working in 2000? Will society be reduced to rubble by the time we all emerge?".

    I'll never forget that show.

    -Bitzky (wuz there)

  • The all night set was the peak of the Phish wave imo, and I feel so fortunate to have been able to witness it. Considering everything that was in my body that night, the fact that I remember nearly all of it to this day is remarkable. The few hours leading up to midnight were absolutely INSANE, everyone was going nuts. Fireworks going off everywhere, in the sky, on the ground...insanity, such crazy energy. I'll never forget it.

  • am2quick4u, "unfortunately the many years on tour left me in the same boat as Trey" Is that a joke, blaming the tour for what you put in your body?

  • this is amazing

  • big cypress and the many years on tour before and after will also obviously be with me for the rest of my life and has changed me forever - for good and bad. unfortunately the many years on tour left me in the same boat as Trey... but if he can get out of his rut I know I can. But Big Cypress, was unbelievable. My tour buddy who went with me died in a car accident on tour the summer after so the memories mean more to me than just the awesome show. i hope they tour again

  • oh fuckin word!

thanks so much for posting that.

i was only about fifteen feet from that exact spot! a little forward, and ya, wont be forgetting that sunset either

  • i chewed my X, so I threw it up mixed with bratwurst. i also peed my pants that night.

  • @rickdanko1 I Used a Meatstick as a Pillow That Morning, after eating lavender liquid LSD. Greatest Ever!!!

  • OMG so many flashbacks lol. And yes, that sunrise was surreal. Thanks for posting, i closed my eyes and i was there again.

  • i will never forget this..

  • its just silly how much fun the whole phish experience was every time i watch a video i wanna go on tour again

  • I will never forget this sunrise. Ever.

  • I was nineteen. I was there in Big Cypress.. I had driven in from Houston in a 94 Taurus with my coworkers daughter. . The first thing I did after I set my tent was liquid drops on a stick of gum. The rest is mystery. I found my soul. Thank you, Phish!

  • chris kurodaaaaa!!!!!!!!!

  • Since the fall of 1994 to Coventry, I was a head. I understand them shuttin it down, but they had it going on man. Big Cypress and a NYE in NY in 1998 will always be a part of my life.

  • Saw these boys play for 6 years. For 3 years I toured with them and did not miss one show. As I get older I ask myself, would I still do it. DAME RIGHT I WOULD!

  • wow if i had more sence when i was 8 i could have seen that. lol

  • Big Cypress changed my life forever. It was truly magical and I stood up the entire time during the new years eve set .If it was not for my best friend Mike Morrison I would have never been able to expeirence what Phish and its Phans really meant This event will be one of the most important of my entire life and I am forever grateful for that. WADING IN THE VELVET SEE INTO HERE COMES THE SUN ON THE PA SYSTEM- WE HAD JUST WITNESSED ONE OF THE GREAT ROCK SETS OF ALL TIME
