Nice dog. Never had any pet dogs myself - we had pet mice when I was in my teens. We often have visitors in our back garden though, ranging from birds (duh!), cats, pigeons (ok a bird), squirrels and occasionally a passing frog (someone nearby has a pond).

I thought you used to have a Great Dane. This little guy is quite a bit smaller and has some extra fluff. For whatever reason, little dogs don't like me. Personally, I like big dogs. You can take them camping or hiking. They require less maintanance. In the past I had a German Shepherd, one of the smartest animals I have ever met. To me, it seems the further we bring dogs away from their wolf roots, the more needy they become. I guess that is what makes people happy though, soft little puppies.

It has to do with heritage. Back with a family's coat of arms and such. So riley was a wealthy Irish family. As far as side story, too brothers were racing for their choice of the land, and one cut off his fist and threw it too shore so he could theoretically be the first one to touch the land.
