A tribute to mutts who do agility

Love it, here are 2 of my latest rescues. Tyr is a border collie St Benard & Kai is not a mutt but he is special he is a p/b border collie he is deaf the breeder was going to put him down. We convinced them to give him to us and he is in training and recently passed his CGC on the way to becoming a Therapy dog. Someday we may try agility with him. Keep up the great work!

Hi Helen -- how is wrinkles doing ? Are you two still doing agility today ? I see so many ribbons-- can you tell us about your competitions together ? What level are you at now ?

We will be having our first real 'official' trial at the end of the month and I will have you two in my mind's eye as we step on field !

thanks! hey yea we are definitely still doing agility... if you go on my account you can see more recent videos. We are in Ex. B in AKC now with our first QQ and Elite in NADAC going for our NATCh :) We have our next trial this Sunday (AKC) and I will probably be posting a video of it so just check on my account. I have mutt who I have trained for four years in agaility...never shown but she could. Lab-pitbull cross. beautiful animal, she gives me everything she has every time we go to our jump course. Its all about the animal, not the pedigree.

Loved your video! I'm just starting out on the agility track with my mutt-also a lab mix. It's great to see someone else who has done it, and obviously loved every minute of it. More power to you and to mixed breeds everywhere!

that's a lovely tribute, and a lovely lab mix. I did agility with my cocker mix as a kid but never competitavely. He just did all sorts of obstacles at the park to show off. And even after he went blind he'd still do it. You don't need a purebred to compete.

It goes for all Rescues...Pure Bred or not! I have owned all sorts of dogs, and I say from experience that all dogs were created equal ;) Even mutts can compete with the best! :)

Great... We bought Haley at a flee market... I hate to think of what would have happened if we didn't... Animals are defined by how much time you spend with them...and its very hard to replace a good friend...Thanks for the video. You're welcome to look at Haley too...
