Oil is a global commodity, it's traded on the global market. there is no way in hell any one political regime could EVER have enough power to cause such an enormous decline in oil prices. Have you not payed any attention to the news. OPEC has announced massive production cuts to stp the current oil price free fall. The reason that oil is dropping is because the global economy is in really bad times.
