Hi everybody, I have a book that I have published, if you would like a sample, then you can email me at im_christ_little_brother@ymail.com. email me soon!
I've always wondered how they managed to get all those animals to work together, unless they were animations, created so they didn't need to order the animals around or something
Jesus is also called in the Old Testament the "Lion of the Tribe of Judah" as well. C.S. Lewis said that it takes imagination to have precursor to faith, and as a professor of classical literature that's why you see all the Greek influences, he's appealing to our imaginations as a way for us to consider Jesus Christ in a way that doesn't involve wonder-killing religion. :) For Narnia and for Aslan! :)
C.S. Lewis denied any overly direct allegories with Narnia and Christianity. What he did was more brilliant...took apart the elements of a truly Christ-centered life and understanding of the world (and I don't mean the Religious Right, here at all), and took it into fiction so that we could see the reality clearer than what our present world offers. Read his sci-fiction Space Trilogy series as well... Aslan is Jesus, in the books he says himself that he's known by other names in other worlds.
Maybe not the entire series but the major points. Aslan is deffinately a symbol of Jesus and Edmund represents Judas in lww and Peter represents St.Peter because he closes and guards the door of Aslan's country(for those of you who don't know Catholic and several other Christian denominations believe that St.Peter has the keysto the gates of heaven and guards it letting people in)CS Lewis was a DEVOUT Christian the idea of his books basison the bible/ christianity is highly likely- I believe it.
guys this movie is made based on bible, - represents jesus in everything you see in this movie, like rising a again from death, majestic power no hard feelings please :-)
There were obviously other influences, like Ancient Greek mythology (look at all the creatures!) and of course a large deal of his own wild imagination :)
That is why I love Narnia so much- finally some movies sending good messages (i think it was a great idea to make the books into movies ) I love Narnia!
@MrsupRambo lol i know your comment is 2 years old, but Hah i never noticed that :p i just want to say i prefer this version of the bible. i actually hate christianity to be honest, but always loved narnia. :3

It may have similarities to the Bible, but I doubt that C. S. Lewis based the series on the Bible entirely.

very good! thank you! the only major problem had with both movies was the size of Aslan; he's supposed to be the size of a baby elephant.
DillonHalI 2 years ago
thanks =)
I know what you mean xDD you're right^^
JadeAngelOfHell 2 years ago
@DillonHalI Well, it depends on how old the baby elephant is. When it's ACTUALLY a baby, it's pretty small. Aslan's bigger than that.
