I'm about to close on a home in Fla with a palm tree just like in this vid. All family members that live near by ( 2 block radius ) are bustin my balls to have it taken down in fear it will one day fall and cause property damage. I think it's kool but need to know what are the chances of it falling? Thanks
I am a Palm grower and I sell hundreds and hundreds of palms. Shit, to bad I didn't live in that area I would have removed them. I am the only guy on our island that removes big palm trees and relocates them. Palms transplant like weeds.
Let's look at the numbers shall we? Cut down & haul away, $500-$1000. Tree spade, $500 just for showing up, no access for a tree spade? Dig safely around a 50' palm with limited space & safely remove while keeping tree & poolside intact for safe transporting. $5K-$10K. I've worked in Phoenix & an average size pool takes up 80% of an average backyard. Tree huggers, maybe start a nationwide fund to save these trees for homeowners to use unless you want to transplant for free. U do the math!

haha i know, it was a sad day... the real truth is that was one of 8. the guy hated them. they dropped all that stuff in his pool. what can ya do? gotta get paid.

I've got 14 palms like this, half will have to got because the fruit is destroing the yard, it smells and there are tons of flies on it,
Gona be a big job but I hate to see them go anyway coz they're so nice.
