Due to damage and fire from WTC 1 and 2, it spread fires throughout the building. The subsequent explosions heard throughout the day were from diesel generators located throughout the building which were on fire all day. The explosions blew out columns and weakened the structure to collapse. You can see the building tresses collapse prior to the main collapse.
