  • Pong. Truly the great-grandfather of all bosses, video games, and, most importantly, fun.

  • the thing I love about the beat trip games is they have really sick beats to the levels. Me being a percussionist, am able to keep time while playing the games. That said I haven't played any of them, but have all intentions in the world on doing so.

  • @klink180 You could get a demo...

  • How many transitions are there in the game?

  • @stuna210 the first stage is called transition... there are 2 other stages, so there are 3 stages in total in the game, if that's what you meant...

  • @RePlay7575 Yeah thats not alot of stages....Is it worth the money?

  • to me the music doesn't change much, I like the concept though. If you could play with your own music like audiosurf than it'll be the perfect music game

  • This game is awesome even with a mouse, except that some achievements on Steam are impossible :(

  • I jsut heard a song today that immeidately made me think of this game because of the beat lol. Starting at 1:01 in this video, the loop sounds so much like School of Seven Bells - ILU Phantogram remix at 1:55 and again at 3:15. Such an awesome loop.

  • this game looks intense

  • bit trip beat is actually about sex....

you'll even see sperm at some point in the game too.

also the names give the fact away

"transition" - moving from one place to another

"decent" - going deeper inside it

"growth" - well, thats self explanatory THE BABY

  • @DriftHero77 4 words:

    1. YOU

    2. ARE

    3. A

    4. PERVERT

  • @supermaletperson and you sir, are blind

  • love the boss music

  • Forget Guitar Hero, THIS is the future!!

    Bit Trip has rhythm!!

  • @SmashingGreen

If you Love <3 Bit Trip games then check out REZ on Dreamcast, PS2 and XBLA.

Bit Trip and REZ are amazeing

  • wow man you good : D

i can beat th demo easy but i really want th full version so i can try to beat that to : D

  • how did you record it?

  • I love the bits where you're missing the blocks and the paddle shakes about in frustration afterward. :D

I move my paddle to the beat too when there's empty space.

  • ARGH I suck so hard at this game! But it's so addictive!

  • This game is absolutely incredible and I'm pretty sure it will spawn the whole music game genre all over again... the sequel unfortunately looks rubbish in comparison but don't be fooled, in a few years time the likes of guitar hero and rock band will be a distant memory and descendants of this game with multiple paddles (more than 2), no doubt replacing chiptunes with actual music will be where the whole genre is at... if the pong creator is playing it you know its really really good...

  • @wiredboy27

    "actual music"

Honestly, I'd rather have new, unique chiptunes than music that I've heard before. It gives the game its own personality.

  • @wiredboy27 it already is my friend ;)

  • The game looks very impressive. The music alone may make this worth a buy for me.

  • That boss is the Yellow Devil! :O!

  • Great gameplay. I love games where you have to play to the beat of a song. Which makes me wonder if anything similar exists online.

  • Audio Surf is a good choice as far as a music game goes (you ride any sound file/song and the game adjusts to it. Look it up if you don't already have it.

  • Is that the end of the game after you beat the boss?

  • No, Transition is just the first stage.

  • Notes get out of sync towards the end don't they...

  • this game looks like it has very good sound quality

  • woooow! that's so coool! :D
