Thank you. I think it's a beautiful piece - one of my favorites other than his Violin Concerto in E Major...I'm also a bit of a Mozart fan, although he was Austrian - not German.
@Chronosaur Personally, i think anyone with such fine-crafted, German sex appeal is going to make even one-celled organisms take notice. People who prefer to attribute intense sexuality with the French rather than the Germans don't know what they're missing with such hypnotic personalities like Blixa Bargeld. Either that or they don't care to admit it.
haha. what a fool i am. I thought this video was from "Mein Leben", sorry. I was wrong. I asked about subtitles for that docummentary (I think i was watching too many youtube videos at the same time) .
I hate how there are some really talented and intelligent people out there and the only thing their fans comment on is how "sexy" or "cute" they look. Makes you wonder whether they'd still be their fans if they weren't "sexy". Poor Blixa, being a goal-driven capricorn he probably enjoys getting positive comments on his achievements but so many people on youtube comment only on his looks...
It's not like just the way he looks earns him some more fans, come on. I'm sure people doesn't love his look more than his creations. I'd say it's the other way around: because of what he does and the way he behaves he's called "sexy".
Being "sexy" actually has nothing to do with the way you look, it's about what you think of yourself, it's a state of mind. That is why 50 years old Blixa is still sexy. And that is why it's quite a complement actually.
Well, he is cute and sexy and intelligent and interesting and creative and unique... and he can be all those things at the same time. Not everybody can do it, so, why not to say it? ;D
As for the copyright gestapo: bastids. 'Morning Dew' is a purrrrrrfect example of his best and most intense out of body vocals. Best heard via headphones. Oh, the tormented yelps, wails, howls and screams! If you've not heard Morning Dew, by Einstürzende Neubauten, from 'Richterskala' album (1986), get it! I'm imagining Blixa singing, in strong low tones, 'Volk me out, in za morning dew, mah hahneee...' Wow... major vocal action... gawd.
about copyrights... they are really overreacting, as I see it, youtube is just perfect way of advertisement, I myself ordered quite number of things I saw here, like Nihil, Lebeslider, Dandy or Seele Brennt.. all thanks to youtube. Times have changed and they should not fight it but seek an opportunity how to benefit.
And yes, Morning Dew is absolutely brilliant piece :D

I wonder how it was that blixa went from dressing like this to wearing fine suits and having a relatively conservative look seemingly overnight...

And I'm sure he wouldn't mind all this, seriously he is someone that at this point doesn't need to prove ANYTHING.
There are films and comments on youtube concerning hes brilliance and creativity, and there are those concerning hes charisma and charm.
Just let us do it. It's not like we have Blixa's pin-ups all over our walls and we've heard only "Sabrina" because they wre playing it on MTV.
