@Casman011 people get 400exs because of the reliability, if you know anything about quads 400exs are "bulletproof" and the motors have been around since the 80s in the xr400. 450rs require top end jobs every 60-80 hours

400exs can do anywhere from 70 to 75 stock depending on your weight, elevation, and how you take care of it. its real easy to get them faster though. get a good pipe I reccommend a curtis sparks x6 standard core ceramic system with their rev box and air filter, and a dynojet stage 2 kit and if you have the money a curtis 416cc kit complete with jug piston rings and such, and widen the front and the back. wheel spacers or axle and aarm kits either will do for better handling and speed and it will

it'll help you out alot in throttle respons it increases power and speed, if your going to get both of those throw a stage 2 or 3 jet kit in it and you'll be doing anywhere from 85-95, i know i guy who did that and his 400ex is scary but fun

Not at all. All a pipe does is determines throttle response. All hot cams do is increase throttle response too, but in different places. Also speed is detemined by sprocket size and the size tires.
