Ahh man I can't tell you how much I agree with you. Too many people only do things to be praised by others, not for themselves. However, I do think parents should encourage their kids to work for whatever they want and not give up, but not make them feel like they will become whatever they want no matter what.

i totally agree, people need the right amount of praise, Be it for the biggest thing or the littlest thing. Too little and they think they never do a good job, Too much and then they think they have to do be praised for their work otherwise they think its not good enough.. People are confusing..
