Not only was Wakefield's original study a small sample size, the results have since been found to have been fraudulent. There was cherry picking, data which didn't match medical records, treating false positives as actual positives, etc.

I'm assuming you're referring to Wakefield there. He didn't get his license revoked because the results of his fraudulent study, he got it revoked because of his unethical treatment of the children in his study. He needlessly subjected them to painful invasive procedures, sometimes causing serious complications.
If you are defending Wakefield, then its funny that you would recommend "following the money" since he was paid several hundred thousand euros to conduct his study by a lawyer looking for anything to sue pharma companies over. It's not a factor, it's like the sample of the population that are statistically likely when given these toxins to exhibit all of this. Anti-vaccination campaigns had caused vaccination levels to drop prior to the outbreak, just as it happened in the UK recently. In fact, the British ministry of health has recently revoked the medical liscense of the person who conducted the study which proposed a link between autism and MMR vaccines due to how misleading and false his methods were.

Contrary to conspiracy theory...the profession of medicine puts the safety and wellbeing of the patients first. I know this because I am in it. @jns124able I wouldn't mention that decrease anymore if I were you; that decrease was so small as to not be statistically significant, and if someone confronts you about it, it would undermine your other entirely valid points.
Not only was Wakefield's original study a small sample size, the results have since been found to have been fraudulent. There was cherry picking, data which didn't match medical records, treating false positives as actual positives, etc.

I'm assuming you're referring to Wakefield there. He didn't get his license revoked because the results of his fraudulent study, he got it revoked because of his unethical treatment of the children in his study. He needlessly subjected them to painful invasive procedures, sometimes causing serious complications.

There is also the small matter of an alternative MMR vaccine he had been developing for months just so happened to perfectly match the recommendations he made for a safer version based on the results of the study.

While not suggesting that he's right or wrong, I think you misunderstood what he's saying. Toxicity is the explanatory variable while the genetic predisposition is a part of the state. It's not a factor, it's like the sample of the population that are statistically likely when given these toxins to exhibit all of this. Again, I'm not saying he's right or wrong... but I think you're parsing his words, incorrectly. They are not both factors... one's a factor and one is the sample.

He suggests genes are a factor and mercury exposure is a factor. Therefore, he suggests there is more than one factor.
Regardless, he cannot back up any of his claims with sound scientific evidence. One factor implicated, or one hundred factors implicated - who cares if the evidence isn't there.

Yes. Methyl mercury is harmful and we do know that Ethyl mercury is less toxic than Methyl mercury so they use Methyl mercury standards with Ethyl mercury levels (which I find a bit weird, but it works I suppose).
Trust me, I know this guy is not doing himself any favors and I'm not giving him any science-props. I'm a little curious what is going on with him though. Many of the people saying similar things are basically raving lunatics. I suppose he may simply be another snake-oil guy.

No logical person would say that mercury is good for human beings. However, it is a fact that the quantities of mercury in vaccines are well below that which you would pick up naturally in the environment. There is absolutely no empirical evidence supporting this DO's (the "DO" should be your first red flag) claim--that vaccines are causing autism. The Supreme Court ruled in February, based on empirical evidence and testimony, there is absolutely no link between vaccines and autism, period.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I can tell you for a fact that while mercury *is* toxic, it is not the "second most toxic metal". Any of the radioactive elements are both chemically and radiologically more toxic than mercury. As for non-radioactive metals, beryllium is terrifyingly toxic.
Oh yeah, and the use of thiomersal in vaccines was discontinued in the US in 2001. So there's no reason to worry about mercury in vaccines.

Funny that an internet search for "Chief Vaccine Control Officer" only turns up hits on various conspiracy sites and none for the FDA's web site. Apparently the position is fictitious.
J. Anthony Morris was, apparently an FDA employee in the early 1970s who was fired for speaking out against how the FDA was proposing to handle an isolated problem with contaminated polio vaccine manufactured by a single laboratory.

You'll need to prove that thimerosol is still being used in vaccines. Single dose vaccines don't require it - why would the companies making those vaccines go to the unnecessary expense of adding an unneeded ingredient?
It is still used in third-world countries where they can't afford the more expensive single-dose vaccines. However various organizations, including the WHO have concluded that there is no risk from the compound in the amounts used.

To answer your question: I would much rather have an infinitesimal (i.e. below the limit of toxicity) amount of mercury injected into my body than die of any of the diseases from which the vaccines protect me.
You get more mercury from a bite of tuna than from all the vaccines that used to contain thimerosol.

The stupid analogy is an entire can of tuna, not a 'bite'. Do newborns eat entire cans of tuna? Curiously, that particular study emanates from the U.S. government. An institution I hardly trust.

I'd rather not die of a disease that is easily preventable by a simple vaccination - even if it contains thimerosol which single-use vaccines (the kind used today) do not.
If you want to not be vaccinated and be a public health hazard, that's your business. You can either live out your life in quarantine or go live in the woods away from other people.
And, no, I was talking about a bite of tuna.

Thimerosal is still in a good number of vaccines, as there is no national law against it.
And again, it is important to highlight the fact that thimerosal is not the only ingredient in these 'vaccines' that is damaging.
Remember. Babies. Newborns. Ever-increasing number of 'vaccines'.

If you want to pass a law against it, feel free. I doubt you'll get a lot of support because if there was an effective alternative, I suspect it would already be in use. In any case, the argument is irrelevent with regard to single-use vaccines which do not use any thimerosol because they don't have to.
Now, why don't you list any other ingredients in these vaccines that are "damaging".
And about my statement, I'm aware of what I wrote because I'm the one who wrote it.

An infant is injected with 22 toxic concoctions via 19 injections by the tiny age of six months! Talk about creating behavior disorders. There has never been a study proving infant vaccines are safe. The pain of multiple vaccines can in itself cause neuro trauma. NO INFANT SHOULD EVER BE VACCINATED.

Buttar is a fraud who has actually been barred from treating children and cancer patients. He's even admitted that he had no empirical evidence for his claims; he simply "believes" vaccines cause autism despite overwhelming evidence that he is wrong & takes money from desperate parents turning to him for treatments he claims will cause their children to "recover" even though there is no known method for "curing" this condition. Please consult your pediatrician or other medical professional.

mjr256, you need to educate yourself. It's not just the mercury, it's injecting so many toxins into an infant. Every "scientific" study ever conducted, resulted in some kind of tissue damage.

JamSpring, quit parroting antivaccination propaganda and do some REAL research. Aside from the thousands of studies proving the safety and benefits of vaccines, 16 international, well documented, peer-reviewed studies directly falsify your position that vaccines have any role in autism at all, whereas no legitimate study has ever supported this hypothesis. Your statement that infants should not be vaccinated is morally and ethically indefensible.

Its so tragic - mydaughter had a reaction after DTP vaccines and I did after the polio one at five years old. They need to do an honest open study comparing vaccinated and non-vaccinated people. Also as a biochemical principal how can it work - it just winds up the immune system and damages us all. We do not need it.
