I find it so amazing to keep discovering really fantastic musicians. I will be 57 years old end of this year but I really love the music you are making. Keep on going and make me happy. Thnx
I'm not particular with the brand of strings I use, I'm more about the gage, these are 9 to 42 and then 56 on the lower b, current brand is Dean Markley Blue Steel, but again, I usually alternate between D'addario, Dean Markley or Dunlop
@drummermikerocks1it would be great if you make a cover :) it's in standard tuning but remember it is a 7 string guitar. Which makes the 7th string a lower B. So its beadgbe
I dont understand how can your videos have only 10000 and 40000 views (when not counting cover of Metallica) your music is amazing man! I think that you deserve to be more famous because this is really amazing! I wish you good luck with your music! you rock!
Did you know that the top guild in the US in World of Warcraft used this for their kill video of Yogg-Saron, the God of Death? It was amazingly fitting for it, and was even timed perfectly so that the action in the music started just as the the god reared its big ugly head.
This is the best original song I have heard in a while! I really enjoyed this, and am planning on listening to all of your others over the course of this week. Hey, maybe I'll even learn a thing or two about writing a song!
Dude that shit was sick! I wasn't sure it was going to be anything worth while at first be you definitely blew me away! I loved how well everything went together and I really loved that the song had peaks and valleys. It had a lot of depth, especially with all the layered parts!
Hey Francisco....Haven't commented in a while, but trust me, I have shown these videos to a lot of friends lol. We have now dubbed you Spiderman! It appears as though your fingers look like a trantula moving across the frets! Thought you would get a kick out of that! Peace and keep playing......
@jimmymac63 lol that is awesome, I always see the shape I do at 4:54 on the middle smaller screen as a spider moving across frets, that's really cool you see the same, thanks for the support, make sure to check the latest music (Lost in a Dream)
So, I've listened to your songs so many times. And you know, my personal opinion, I think if you were big you WOULD be as big and as famous as Dimebag Darrell. You have a unique sound like his and its just really awesome to listen to....You will go far Francisco Meza.
Did the crunch lab on that guitar come facing the bridge? I sometimes see John has the metal part of the pickup facing the neck, but I wasn't sure which way I should place mine. You think it matters tone wise?
you can tell you have a lot of Dream Theater's style, not just because of Petrucci's signature guitar, but your melodies are really influenced by them...
REALLY awesome song man, congrats and keep going ;)
yeah i have reaper as a host, I just have now idea what a drum map is, is that in ez drummer or in the host?? So your not using the patterns that ezdrummer already has?? wow. I saw some more of your videos, man they are of the charts!!!! wicked good. I hope i can be just as good someday.
@prognosis77 it is in the host man, i don;t know reaper. You should go to toontrack's website and search the forum on how to make it work with reaper, good luck and thanks again for the nice comment on my music (available on itunes and amazon for less than 8 bucks)
@prognosis77 thanks man, .... about ezdrummer... not really, remember it is a plug in so you need a host program to run it. I use Cubase, then you open a drum map which looks like a grid of excel spread sheet, each cell represent a beat for that row which is a part of the drum set. So what you hear is my having clicked on the grid for every single drum beat you hear
@prognosis77 you need fl studio then add the plug in to your vst folder then you can use it thats the easyer way and if you need help just mail me ill try my best to make you happy xD
@wajdiwalid so reaper wont work, when I do use reaper with ez drummer I just drag and drop the pattern into reaper and that works, but I think what he is saying is he takes an individual beat and puts itin that row, like bass, snare bass, bass, snare, am i right, if this is true i dont know how to do that with reaper. I thought ez drummer only had patterns.
this is truly wonderful, by the looks of it you have listened to quite a bit a dream theater, and have made a wonderful, original, adaptation of a similar vein and feel
@TheJimmyZeta it is a combination of delay, reverb, chorus and distortion controlled with the volume pedal. I can't remember which amp model I'm uing there but as you can see is quite bright and twangy
@thehughvincent i do not know where they come from, its going to sound cheesy but there are rhythm parts that just tell me where the solo should be and i just start playing
@franciscomeza11 Hey would you be a sport and send me the tabs? I'm looking all over a bunch of tablature sights and they don't have any of your tabs at all!

Its simply incredible... Im a guitarrist too, im 15.... one day i wanna be like u!!! it would be awsome..!! Its an incredible song...!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O_O
you say you were inspired by kirk hammet but the only thing i can see in your music is Jeff Loomis Jeff Loomis and wait for it- Jeff Loomis. Great tracks exactly my kind of music i could just imagine this being a Nevermore track had the solos been faster and more intrecate, but still great job in expressing yourself through music

@franciscomeza11 I Just bought it! I absolutely love it, one of the best albums I've bought all year! I hope you see a decent amount of the money I paid for it! Keep up the good work, thank you very much, Arron.
with all due respect to TSO and to you, that melody is not original from TSO (please read the description) this was a Hungarian Folk song. In the 30's english words were written and became what we all know as Carol of The Bells, which TSO covers
it's standard tuning... on a 7 string guitar the 6th to the 1st are E A D G B E just like any other guitar in standard tuning, but the added 7th string is a bottom B
I'm probably starting a new job in the next couple weeks and definitely getting the entire album when I get my first check. Have you been selling your tracks online to avoid having to go through a record company or have you been pursuing a record deal?
Awesome! I'm an aspiring musician who's let a lot of things get in my way but I plan on having an album finished in the next year and will probably do it the way you are. I need to learn drumming though since even though I can write beats I don't wanna accidentally write stuff that requires three arms lol.
I know you made this album a little while back, and GREAT job on this album. amazing riffs and some beautiful melodies. i have some Q's. how long did it take you to make the album, and what made you want to make this album? you are a blessed guitar player and musician. also this song is now in my top 20 songs of all time. THANKS for makin it!!!
it took me 10 months approximately and it all came to me when I was participating at the first shred the web competition (which I won) I realized people liked the track i used to enter the competition. Musically it is my greatest achievement, not only because it sells and people like it, but most importantly, I learned a lot about recording, mixing, arranging and even learned how to play the keyboards
Seriously, anybody who reads this i urge you to buy his album. Its one of the best albums i have ever bought. its a seriously amazing album, and im kind of addicted to it. Well done
there are 3 guitars in the beginning. I am using the volume pedal to help me control the attack of each sound. I am also using a lot of delay, reverb and an effect called rottary drum+horn. The cracking sound is the pick against the strings. The whaling sound is made by playing the note while pulling it but with no volume, and then releasing the pull off and at the same time opening the volume pedal, it creates that ghostly sound you hear. It's kind of confusing to explain, thanks for watching
outstanding! creepy and intense! love it!!

with all due respect to TSO and to you, that melody is not original from TSO (please read the description) this was a Hungarian Folk song. In the 30's english words were written and became what we all know as Carol of The Bells, which TSO covers

this should be called "the arrival of a soul". I already see the steampunk styled waiting rooms and the lonelyness in the air.

muse767 1 year ago
thanks, glad you like it... but you need a 7 string guitar in case you didn't know
franciscomeza11 1 year ago
your right sorry can you tell me what tuneing its in
muse767 1 year ago
it's standard tuning... on a 7 string guitar the 6th to the 1st are E A D G B E just like any other guitar in standard tuning, but the added 7th string is a bottom B

Quite simply astounding. I expect the likes of David Gilmour and Mike Oldfield would be proud of such an arrangement.
Excellent work sir.. i look forward to hearing further work. You are 'in class of your own ...'

thanks a million, please think about buying the track for 99 cents or the entire album for $7.92 on itunes or amazon
franciscomeza11 1 year ago
I'm probably starting a new job in the next couple weeks and definitely getting the entire album when I get my first check. Have you been selling your tracks online to avoid having to go through a record company or have you been pursuing a record deal?
blakfloyd 1 year ago
I do it all myself, no support from any label, at the moment i prefer it this way
franciscomeza11 1 year ago
Awesome! I'm an aspiring musician who's let a lot of things get in my way but I plan on having an album finished in the next year and will probably do it the way you are. I need to learn drumming though since even though I can write beats I don't wanna accidentally write stuff that requires three arms lol.

THANKS for makin it!!!

thanks a lot
it took me 10 months approximately and it all came to me when I was participating at the first shred the web competition (which I won) I realized people liked the track i used to enter the competition. Musically it is my greatest achievement, not only because it sells and people like it, but most importantly, I learned a lot about recording, mixing, arranging and even learned how to play the keyboards

Your riffs sound original and like Kirk Hammet's too haha, it's good work, keep it up.

How do u get ur guitars to sound like that in the beginning?
guitargod4576 2 years ago
there are 3 guitars in the beginning.
