  • outstanding! creepy and intense! love it!!

  • @kimmy51511 :) thanks for watching, please share

  • Have you gotten any offers from record deals?

  • You've officially got yourself a new fan. Will be buying this album when I get the money.

  • @Scarecrow545 you rock, thanks for the support, this is from the first albumfrom 2009, I have a new one called The Restless Mind since August 2011,

  • I find it so amazing to keep discovering really fantastic musicians. I will be 57 years old end of this year but I really love the music you are making. Keep on going and make me happy. Thnx

  • You are simply an amazing guitarist, I have only discovered you today, but I am already convinced to buy your albums. Very inspiring as well.

  • @DamageIncorperated86 thanks a lot keep spreading the word

  • is this the origianl ezdrummer or are you using an expansion like DFH,or metalheads?

  • @sirvaan DFH model, thanks for watching

  • I'm not particular with the brand of strings I use, I'm more about the gage, these are 9 to 42 and then 56 on the lower b, current brand is Dean Markley Blue Steel, but again, I usually alternate between D'addario, Dean Markley or Dunlop

  • What strings you are using? Ernie Ball? Daddario? pls reply

  • ok, ok I am sold ..

  • Absolutely brilliant! I've been watching your videos for the last hour or so and I am blown away.

  • Hey I know people have probably asked this many times, but hat is the tuning for this song. I wanted to try to cover it. :) thanks

  • @drummermikerocks1it would be great if you make a cover :) it's in standard tuning but remember it is a 7 string guitar. Which makes the 7th string a lower B. So its beadgbe

  • @franciscomeza11 yes of course i forgot it was a seven string. thank you!

  • who are those 14 people....... they are probably listening to Vanil.ICE... ice ice baby

  • @silentmjsty Hey, it's just that first album of his that's dorky. The rest of his stuff once he gets older is actually pretty hardcore.

  • dude, you f..ing rock !!!

  • Who else feels like they're commenting on a video made by a star? Oh, wait...we are :D

  • I dont understand how can your videos have only 10000 and 40000 views (when not counting cover of Metallica) your music is amazing man! I think that you deserve to be more famous because this is really amazing! I wish you good luck with your music! you rock!

  • @TheKub4s thanks a lot for that, it definitely helps if you guys keep spreading the word :) thanks for the support

  • great track. I like the ending most of all, ambient-like...

  • F****ing Amazing!!!!! \m/

  • 1:24 That part never fails to give me chills.

  • Very cool 100%

  • Did you know that the top guild in the US in World of Warcraft used this for their kill video of Yogg-Saron, the God of Death? It was amazingly fitting for it, and was even timed perfectly so that the action in the music started just as the the god reared its big ugly head.

  • @Verixus113 sounds cool, did not know, do you mind sending me the video? i coudn't find it, thanks for watching

  • dude you are FUCKIN AMAZING!!!! WOuLD Love to hear it with VOCALS!!! RULEZ!

  • Perfect song for Friday the 13th. >:D

  • @Critdizzle i'd have to agree. thanks for watching

  • Love it!

  • you are the next Joe Satriani !!!!!!

i want to play like you ....

  • VOCALS!

  • This is the best original song I have heard in a while! I really enjoyed this, and am planning on listening to all of your others over the course of this week. Hey, maybe I'll even learn a thing or two about writing a song!

  • @yanhpitan :) much appreciated, thanks for listening

  • well, that was kick off! Keep on rocking, and i am so glad, that talented people are among us!

  • the craziest song

  • Dude that shit was sick! I wasn't sure it was going to be anything worth while at first be you definitely blew me away! I loved how well everything went together and I really loved that the song had peaks and valleys. It had a lot of depth, especially with all the layered parts!

  • @CORNHOLE90 Thank you very much for taking the time to view and comment, glad you liked it

  • My soul has departed....this track is fucking insane. very dark-very cool!

  • you are amazing! Are you in a band or are you just doing the solo thing??

  • @drummerx941 thank you for the kind comment, I am in a GnR cover band, the original music I do is a solo thing and I'm recording my second solo album

  • Hey Francisco....Haven't commented in a while, but trust me, I have shown these videos to a lot of friends lol. We have now dubbed you Spiderman! It appears as though your fingers look like a trantula moving across the frets! Thought you would get a kick out of that! Peace and keep playing......

  • @jimmymac63 lol that is awesome, I always see the shape I do at 4:54 on the middle smaller screen as a spider moving across frets, that's really cool you see the same, thanks for the support, make sure to check the latest music (Lost in a Dream)

  • 2 years old and still awesome. Thanks. That's really help in moments of depression.

  • Sounds kind-of like Trivium. But that's awesome!!!

    Nice Job.

  • it gave me chills wen i listen to it nice

  • 8:03 sounds like something i've heard before LOL

The whole song is really good but that part is very similar to something i've heard before, I think it is mambo 5 im not sure

  • @produccionesmiranejo LOL, I'm usually compared to Opeth or DT, that's a first one for me, thanks for listening

  • such an inspiration, i respect u a lot

  • francisco eres un gran musico me sorprende qe tus canciones no sean famosas

olle una preguntaa como editas tus videos?

es decir qe programa usas para editarlo

    te agradeceria si me contestaras

  • @sk8rifa gracias por el comentario, uso sony vegas, saludos

  • When do you go on tour?? :-) hehe

  • So, I've listened to your songs so many times. And you know, my personal opinion, I think if you were big you WOULD be as big and as famous as Dimebag Darrell. You have a unique sound like his and its just really awesome to listen to....You will go far Francisco Meza.

  • wow, just simply wow, every song of yours is just so perfect!

  • WOW ! Its totally only amazing ! Five star ! 10/10 for your imagination and your nice ! Your sound gime me full emotions !

  • very beautiful :)

  • Did the crunch lab on that guitar come facing the bridge? I sometimes see John has the metal part of the pickup facing the neck, but I wasn't sure which way I should place mine. You think it matters tone wise?

  • @NEWCtheSHOW this BFR is from 2008 and comes with the d-sonic, not the crunch lab wich came out in 2009

  • @franciscomeza11 Ah, ok. Thanks.

  • you sure can get a lot of different tones out of that guitar.

  • The intro was epic. The entire song even more.

  • like number 666 :}

  • you can tell you have a lot of Dream Theater's style, not just because of Petrucci's signature guitar, but your melodies are really influenced by them...

REALLY awesome song man, congrats and keep going ;)

  • @hector3088 thanks for watching and for the nice comment

  • epic!! yur guitar at 0:57 looks the guitar that John Petrucci uses!!

  • @Andrew65664 thanks! lol, that's because it IS a John Petrucci signature model

  • I like so much the tecnis that U use!!!!!... que alucinante esta cancion ..que talento!!! sigue creando mas musica ..bye!!!

  • Simply brilliant dude keep up the good artwork/shredwork 5/5...Denis The Man.

  • you my friend are gifted..^--^

  • yeah i have reaper as a host, I just have now idea what a drum map is, is that in ez drummer or in the host?? So your not using the patterns that ezdrummer already has?? wow. I saw some more of your videos, man they are of the charts!!!! wicked good. I hope i can be just as good someday.

  • @prognosis77 it is in the host man, i don;t know reaper. You should go to toontrack's website and search the forum on how to make it work with reaper, good luck and thanks again for the nice comment on my music (available on itunes and amazon for less than 8 bucks)

  • Dude you are an amazing player, I have ez drummer, how does it work, you just load up different beats and create a song. Please help me out,

  • @prognosis77 thanks man, .... about ezdrummer... not really, remember it is a plug in so you need a host program to run it. I use Cubase, then you open a drum map which looks like a grid of excel spread sheet, each cell represent a beat for that row which is a part of the drum set. So what you hear is my having clicked on the grid for every single drum beat you hear

  • @prognosis77 you need fl studio then add the plug in to your vst folder then you can use it thats the easyer way and if you need help just mail me ill try my best to make you happy xD

  • @wajdiwalid so reaper wont work, when I do use reaper with ez drummer I just drag and drop the pattern into reaper and that works, but I think what he is saying is he takes an individual beat and puts itin that row, like bass, snare bass, bass, snare, am i right, if this is true i dont know how to do that with reaper. I thought ez drummer only had patterns.

  • Dude, you got serious skills...awesome piece of music man \m/\m/

  • C'est tout simplement terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    this is simply terrible!!!!

Big hail from France, i love this song

  • really impressive where do you get the drum track from?

  • @Tranquil787 Thank you, I create the drum track myself, beat by beat using ezdrummer

  • putian whoua!!!!! c'est une turie!!!

    i'am french sorry.

Fuck! Whoua!!!!!! It's a fucking FUCKING GOOOOOD song!

  • this is truly wonderful, by the looks of it you have listened to quite a bit a dream theater, and have made a wonderful, original, adaptation of a similar vein and feel

  • Nice song

  • this kinda reminds me of devin townsend, epic job!

  • how do u make that effects in the begin of the song before ur playing ???

  • @TheJimmyZeta it is a combination of delay, reverb, chorus and distortion controlled with the volume pedal. I can't remember which amp model I'm uing there but as you can see is quite bright and twangy

  • @franciscomeza11 I was asking u cause it's very cool and it's perferct for the title.

  • screw the 14 people that said they don't like this song. It's AMAZING!!!!

  • sweeeeet...

  • how do come up with solos? cause im thinking of making a like just a long guitar solo and a drum beat.

  • @thehughvincent i do not know where they come from, its going to sound cheesy but there are rhythm parts that just tell me where the solo should be and i just start playing

  • @franciscomeza11 Thanks nice compositions!

  • wow it's been a while since I heard this song and it's really a breath of fresh air let me tell you! *sigh* such a fantastic song! :)

  • @mirGaarasgirl14 thanks for watching again, keep spreading the word :)

  • @franciscomeza11 Hey would you be a sport and send me the tabs? I'm looking all over a bunch of tablature sights and they don't have any of your tabs at all!

  • @mirGaarasgirl14 unfortunately I don't write tabs for my music, I record them and commit them to memory, specially for something this long and complicated. Sorry again

  • @franciscomeza11 Oh it's ok, I'm just not that good t learning complicated songs by ear that's why I asked.

  • @franciscomeza11 Hey would you be a sport and send me the tabs? I'm looking all over a bunch of tablature sights and they don't have any of your tabs at all!

  • so amazing! your a talented guitarst! How you make video's like this? I've wanted to learn for soo long.

  • dude, I'm gonna be spreading this this song all over the place! I wish I could buy your album,I'm going trough some financial stress latelly, I'm broke as shit. Since I can't help financially I'm gonna help by spreading your music and getting people to know your talent.

  • how the hell did you get 0:55 to sound like that?! VERY good!

  • @slayingsabbath Hi thanks!!! I'm using a bit of chorus, reverb and delay as well as the rotary drum effect, creating this creepy ambiance

  • Its simply incredible... Im a guitarrist too, im 15.... one day i wanna be like u!!! it would be awsome..!! Its an incredible song...!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O_O

  • just passing by to show some love XD!

man you are awesome! i cant wait for your next album!

  • love it another great track

  • For Guitar Port play back, do you need to buy a good sound card?

  • you say you were inspired by kirk hammet but the only thing i can see in your music is Jeff Loomis Jeff Loomis and wait for it- Jeff Loomis. Great tracks exactly my kind of music i could just imagine this being a Nevermore track had the solos been faster and more intrecate, but still great job in expressing yourself through music

  • @IcedEarth99 thanks for watching, but i never said I was inspired by KH for this track. It has Dream Theater all over it though

  • you gotta kirk hammet feel witch is great cuz hes my insperation

  • man how i love your music!!

awesome atmosphere. sound a bit like a "prince of persia warrior within" soundtrack

  • @n1nja092 I stand alone by godsmack incase your wondering what the sound track is =P

  • To put it simple... you rock. XD Seriously, you have much more talent than many pros out there. When you get to the top come and play in Portugal.

BTW, would it be too much to ask you to put some "how to" videos for begginers? Share your skill with the mortals. XD

    so fuckin insane!!

    you are a musical GENIOUS!!

  • awsome!

    you are a musical genious!!!

  • Epic

  • Comment removed

  • what kind of guitar do you use in this video, and what tuning is it. drop d, c ? just curious cause i like the guitar's sound

  • info is on the description. It is an Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci 7 string BFR.

It is in standard tuning, it is just that it has an added 7 String at the bottom which is of course tuned to B

  • Would it be wrong to assume you're quite a fan of John Petrucci's playing ? This was really very good.

  • LOL i worship Petrucci (that's a Petrucci Ernie Ball guitar by the way)

  • @franciscomeza11 Oh, i know, i'd kill for one of those guitars... it's my dream guitar. And i, like anyone else would kill for his skill..

  • @franciscomeza11

tu eres muy fan de dream theater no ?

    hahahaa !!

  • unlike anything ive heard before. you, my friend, amaze me.

  • Brilliant. I shall be buying your album soon :D

can it be bought from UK on iTunes also? thanks.

  • thank you and yes of course, Itunes UK, Itunes USA, Canada, Japan, Europe, etc etc, for you less than 7 pounds

  • @franciscomeza11 I Just bought it! I absolutely love it, one of the best albums I've bought all year! I hope you see a decent amount of the money I paid for it! Keep up the good work, thank you very much, Arron.

  • you rock thanks again, tell you buddies

  • @franciscomeza11 will do man, best of luck, I am on my second listen now :D cheers again!

  • lol, @6:33 there's a part of TSO

But great job! Keep up the good work!

  • with all due respect to TSO and to you, that melody is not original from TSO (please read the description) this was a Hungarian Folk song. In the 30's english words were written and became what we all know as Carol of The Bells, which TSO covers

  • @franciscomeza11

Ow, didn't read the description. But great to know :p

*is going to search the original song*

  • this should be called "the arrival of a soul". I already see the steampunk styled waiting rooms and the lonelyness in the air.

  • most exciting 9 minutes of my day

  • can you put a video on hear how to play that nice job

  • thanks, glad you like it... but you need a 7 string guitar in case you didn't know

  • your right sorry can you tell me what tuneing its in

  • it's standard tuning... on a 7 string guitar the 6th to the 1st are E A D G B E just like any other guitar in standard tuning, but the added 7th string is a bottom B

  • Quite simply astounding. I expect the likes of David Gilmour and Mike Oldfield would be proud of such an arrangement.

Excellent work sir.. i look forward to hearing further work. You are 'in class of your own ...'

  • Trully a masterpiece , loved it .

Easy to see you like Metallica , their influence on your sound is obvious ;D

Keep the awesome job dude !

  • love this song

  • This is simply amazing!!!Absolutely great!!!Greetings from Poland!

  • Amazing! Those 9 minutes totally flew by. You have awesome compositional and arrangement skills Francisco. I wish I could give this 7 stars.

  • thanks a million, please think about buying the track for 99 cents or the entire album for $7.92 on itunes or amazon

  • I'm probably starting a new job in the next couple weeks and definitely getting the entire album when I get my first check. Have you been selling your tracks online to avoid having to go through a record company or have you been pursuing a record deal?

  • I do it all myself, no support from any label, at the moment i prefer it this way

  • Awesome! I'm an aspiring musician who's let a lot of things get in my way but I plan on having an album finished in the next year and will probably do it the way you are. I need to learn drumming though since even though I can write beats I don't wanna accidentally write stuff that requires three arms lol.

  • @blakfloyd wish i could give it 9 billion

  • Dude, this was impressive, keep it up man!

  • this is defenitely a departure of a soul, it's absolutely great!

    your a genius :)

  • I just read that you used EZ(something) to record the drums.

    Still great

  • Great album!!

Just found about you today and already bought "Innocence of Insanity"!

Do you also play the drums?

    Very good

  • that is great, how did you come across my channel? anyways, thanks so much for buying the album, we need more music fans like you, take care

(the drums are programmed with ezdrummer)

  • I saw Lars talking about you on MetallicaTV

  • yeap, that's right :) that was a really cool day... he made my year i think LOL

  • Badass. I just bought your album.

  • Sonidazo increibe ,es un tema super currado me ha encantado, mis felicitacines,te llevare en el radio cd de mi coche durante algun tiempo, y por Murcia sonara Francisco meza.Un abrazo desde España

  • realmente increible, felicitaciones

  • I know you made this album a little while back, and GREAT job on this album. amazing riffs and some beautiful melodies. i have some Q's. how long did it take you to make the album, and what made you want to make this album? you are a blessed guitar player and musician. also this song is now in my top 20 songs of all time. THANKS for makin it!!!

  • thanks a lot

it took me 10 months approximately and it all came to me when I was participating at the first shred the web competition (which I won) I realized people liked the track i used to enter the competition. Musically it is my greatest achievement, not only because it sells and people like it, but most importantly, I learned a lot about recording, mixing, arranging and even learned how to play the keyboards

  • any death/schuldiner influence?

  • sure, symbolic is the best death metal album ever written :)

  • Seriously, anybody who reads this i urge you to buy his album. Its one of the best albums i have ever bought. its a seriously amazing album, and im kind of addicted to it. Well done

  • Your sounds makes me feel like I'm listening to Metallica, it's really cool. I dunno if they influenced you, but sounds like them, good job dude.

Your riffs sound original and like Kirk Hammet's too haha, it's good work, keep it up.

  • How do u get ur guitars to sound like that in the beginning?

  • there are 3 guitars in the beginning. I am using the volume pedal to help me control the attack of each sound. I am also using a lot of delay, reverb and an effect called rottary drum+horn. The cracking sound is the pick against the strings. The whaling sound is made by playing the note while pulling it but with no volume, and then releasing the pull off and at the same time opening the volume pedal, it creates that ghostly sound you hear. It's kind of confusing to explain, thanks for watching
